If you are using MicroStation XM or V8i you can go to the pull down menu and select Settings > View Attributes. From the View Attributes dialog select the display style you want from the drop down list. Then depending on the version you may need to left click in the view. HTH, Bob Mecham

You can use the animation tools that are in MicroStation to create Actors and then script the actors to complete your simulation. There is also a product called Bentley Schedule Simulation but it is more for construction simulation not mechanical. Sorry I do not have any videos that go over animation.
