@@WeAreU4 I am not interested in using SD card. It is provided with USB cable as well if I wan to use the USB cable. So how do you use it?
@WeAreU43 жыл бұрын
I have not attempted to use the USB port, only the SD card. I know you can use OctoPrint with a Raspberry Pi commented to the USB, but I'm not sure about a regular PC or Mac. I know Cura has a print over USB function, but I have not tried it.

I can’t seem to print anything except what they give you as sample printings....

Are you downloading or creating an stl, and then converting it over to a gcode?

I was interested in this printer until I checked out their website for firmware etc and it says they were established 2017 and there "support" tab is blank, as well as most of their site. Very disappointing.
@WeAreU43 жыл бұрын
I'm not the manufacturer, but when they asked if I wanted to review it, they told me that it was a new printer. So I looked into it a little bit for you. Their facebook support group was just started this month as well as a Reddit forum. So if you are not seeing much on their site, it most likely due to it being brand new. Someone just recently posted a firmware on the Facebook site as well, and by recently, I mean just a few days ago. As for the website saying 2017, they mention the start of the company, not the product. The website itself showed as being registered in 2019.

@@WeAreU4 I'm still going to keep my eye on it. Seems to have a lot to offer for the price. I'm needing a direct drive printer and found this on amazon.

@@WeAreU4 also, have to found out why the abs print didn't show up on the screen yet?

Well I bit the bullet and ordered with the $50 off coupon. Figured it wouldn't get any cheaper.

@@tjlqk3 let me know how you like it. I'm pretty happy so far.

I bought one of these when Amazon had them with a $90 off coupon. Initially, I thought it was an excellent printer (I own ~ 8 printers including an Anycubic Chiron, Predator delta, & 4Max (kit). After moving the Fokoos profiles over to Cura 4.8, and slicing a calib. cube & Benchy, the prints were quite good. I decides to "look under the hood" and noticed a large amount of Delrin "fir" accumulating on the V-wheels. So, I attempted to adjust the eccentric spacers to relieve the excess wheel pressure--no dice--the adjustment was already so far to the outermost limit, that I couldn't effect any noticeable change. Looking a bit deeper, I noticed the Y carriage only had only 4 V-wheels, with a 100mm space across the 2 2020 extrusions--2 fixed wheels and 2 with eccentric spacers. I pulled the Y carriage apart, and noticed they had sheet metal spacers on each end of the extrusions, in order to (supposedly) keep a precise alignment--which doesn't work! I filed the sheet metal (aluminum) extrusion spacers to allow for a bit of "alignment reforming," and could then properly adjust the wheel contact to allow for good stability and contact pressure. However, once heating the build plate to start a PETG print (plate @ 70c) the wheels again had far too much pressure! I concluded that this cost saving design had a major fail point. With the 2 extrusions screwed down to the chassis, thermal expansion on both the steel chassis, and extrusions would force the wheels to the point that effective wheel pressure was pretty much impossible across the filament required heating ecosystem. I printed 5mm thick PETG shims on my Mingda D2 (modified with dual gear lighter weight direct extruder), and placed them under the extrusions. I'm awaiting a supply of 4mm flathead screws before finishing. I also noticed they only placed a patch of insulation for the thermistor--cheapskates could have simply added more and insulated the entire bottom! I may add insulation as well. By cutting costs with this clever design, the pathetic "engineers" didn't care for a long-term printer. A bunch of clueless 3D printer rubes will find out about this poor design after a few weeks of printing, when the wheel contact surfaces finally erode, and start producing poor quality prints. I get annoyed when I see all the 5 star opinions placed on Amazon for this printer by simpletons, who have little technical/scientific/math backgrounds or knowledge. Cheers!

First time with a 3D printer? You know what would have been good? Reading the manual to see how accurate it was. Also, maybe learn a little about the nomenclature.

Here's the thing though, it doesn't matter whether or not he should have read the manual or knows the nomenclature. If it's easy enough for a beginner to use out of the box that's all that matters. He can learn while using it. If you want to know how accurate it is look at the page on Amazon. Maybe try to be less condescending next time.
