The a1 mini that he used is my go too home printer it’s definitely a small (and your wife will like that it’s an) affordable option at under $200 right now.

It's so convenient I think, and the quality and experience are the best out there. Thanks for sharing!

Whenever I want to get thick walls but not increase my print time, i make the line width 0.8 wide. This makes 3 walls equivalent to 6 0.4 walls. It will increase flow rate through the hot end a lot more but cuts the print time by a lot.
@LoyalMoses3 күн бұрын
Absolutely, there are a ton of ways to reduce the time per layer or number of layers.
@Setral4 күн бұрын
I'm impressed it didn't even creak/crack when you were putting the trailer weight on it. Definitely shows you how great of a tool 3D Printers can be!
@LoyalMoses4 күн бұрын
Absolutely! Just awesome tools.

Great job! BTW, if you spread the prongs on the electric plug you won't have to use tape to keep it plugged in

Epic! Improvement ideas 💡: carry a 0.8mm nozzle and use the thickest layer to get stuff printed faster. Quick fix would have been 0.28mm layer on the 0.4 nozzle. Either way it was still brilliant!

That is still a very good print considering the power loss and the bumpy roads. Gotta love the practical prints especially when in a slight pinch. Love it!

7:12 right outside of Helper, UT, I do love it down there. Awesome demonstration, my first thought was that a block of wood would be better but this showcases so much more than the print.

Also great to hear that anything above 30% infill is not worth it. I was skeptical on the 25% infill, but that block didn't budge an inch with all that weight.

It was so solid! I was nervous until it finished and I held it in my hands, that’s when I felt pretty confident it was gonna hold it.

I love how at 6:40 and 6:50 when showing the side mirrors that you have no trailer connected to your truck but some how at 7:44 you magically have a trailer now hmmmmm
@LoyalMoses2 күн бұрын
Haha! We laughed that nobody had caught it yet! We took two trips to Houston, and one was with my children without the trailer and one with the trailer a month later. I didn’t get as much filming done the second time with the trailer, a lot more driving at night.

Nice project. Just dont use grid infill. Id tends to damage the nozzle. and doing the same block with adaptive cubic would save a lot of time, IMO
@LoyalMoses3 күн бұрын
I suppose we could test, but my first thoughts are that adaptive cubic would have difficulty handling 1,500 pounds.

I'd trade you any day of the week. I'm living in a Prius with my Creality Ender in the back and it's running 24/7 through a 1,000 watt AC Inverter that is being run through 4 100A LifePO4 batteries that charge through the 12V Outlet in the vehicle so I don't always have to have the engine running... 🤓

50mm/s max on draft is brutal. I am looking at upgrading to something 300+mm/sec. LOVE the tech, have several uses, but, it's just too darn slow. I'm not even looking for quality, just get'r'done'dangit.
