Why does it feel like FLSUN launch a printer every 2 months? I would be pretty upset if I bought one of the earlier ones.
@LoyalMoses16 минут бұрын
Can’t win. People complain when there aren’t printers released and when there are printers released.

There looked to be some seriously weird banding/ringing on the helmet, at least in the closeups you showed. I think I have seen that before with the higher speed Delta printers.
@LoyalMoses18 минут бұрын
From temperature and speed changes, and it’s very minimal, all printers experience that. Can be reduced or eliminated by slowing down the outside perimeter to even out the finish.

Great video for a newbie like me. Love that you brought your son's experience. I have a 7 year old, would these Bambu printers be too complex for him or should I start with something like the Tina2s? Thanks.
@LoyalMoses5 сағат бұрын
I don't think it would be too complex at all! The Bambu Lab Handy App makes printing from the phone / iPad simple. You can easily teach how to use the slicer on the computer with the defaults. I am super confident that they will pick it up so fast!

Just purchased the A1 combo in the sale with a few spools and a couple of different hot ends for about half the price I paid for my Prusa. I originally started like many with an Ender 3 and I am gobsmacked as to how much printers have advanced since then. The A1 is mind blowing in what it does for the price, not had a failed print yet and the quality of the prints is fantastic, I just load a print up and forget about it which is a world away from what I was used to. It has printed years old PLA that has been in my shed perfectly without drying, I was not expecting that. I printed the official top mount in PETG which was a 1st for me and it's perfect. I'm glad I believed the hype as for me this is the perfect printer. Now to sell the heavily modified Ender and the Prusa MK3 S and that should pay for this.

Just ordered a ender 3 v3 for $297 on Black Friday sale on Amazon comes in today! Along with a 4 pk set of nozzles a filament drier and few 1kg rolls of filament white pla+, black pla-cf,clear blue tpu95a, and a 500g roll of black petg-rcf to start my 3d printing adventure. 😊
@michaelbraaten9 сағат бұрын
I use the Sunlu S4. I try to make it as efficient as possible by drying 4 spools at once, but I don’t always need that much lol. It also sits well below my printer, nearly on the ground, so I haven’t hooked it up to the printer with a PTFE tube to print out of it. When I get a larger workspace I plan on setting things up a bit better. I’m also interested in trying the Voxel PLA Python AMS upgrade. It now works with the RFID tags in Bambu spools and can have up to 4 Polydryers attached for active drying while printing.

assuming this is the base T1, is it still as loud as it was when you initially reviewed it or has there been an update sense then fixing the issue? if that's even possible, I've only been into the hobby about a year
@FreedomToRoam8620 сағат бұрын
People used to use food dryers, too, as safer than toaster ovens. But at minimum price $62 on Amazon, no real benefit over filament dryer now, unless you want dual-use.

I bought an A1 mini a couple weeks ago just to get my feet wet and see how much I would like the hobby. Turns out I liked it a lot. I've ended up printing things for other people and toys for kids and grand children ... something I never envisioned doing. So I went ahead and purchased an A1 combo during the Black Friday sale, and it just got here today and it's calibrating itself in the other room right now. I plan on taking the A1 mini up to the office and let my dispatcher and boss print with it since they are starting to take an interest. So there you have it, a lot of paying it forward and a lot of fun to this. I find it very stress relieving. I've even gone into Tinker Cad and made several functional pieces on my own. Thank you for your videos, I enjoy them very much.

Cliff notes to the video: while this is a great and very informative video there`s 2 roads that were not talked about. First, if you`re doing this as a hobby.....you`re not gonna run out and get all the upgrades immediately and your cost of replacements is minimal due to it not running 24/7. On the other hand, everything you said is simply factored in to the cost of each piece. Bottom line--if it`s a hobby these hidden cost are not nearly that much. If it`s for sale items, then account for every extra cost in the cost per item amount. Everything is covered as long as you account for everything. But still a great video regardless.

I've been having the same problem - I've stared at both printers since the sale started and I can't decide what to get. It'll be my first printer since I gave up the hobby 7 years ago, and I love how automated they are. But I also can't help but feel that I would rather wait for a sequel for the P1S, given that with the AMS, it's a far cleaner package, and for me, space comes at a premium. With that, I've been having a mind to buy an A1 mini for the time being, but the arguably fractional price difference between the A1 mini and the A1 have made the decision hard. Additionally, seeing everyone gush over the Combo for the A1/A1 mini has me wondering if I should give up on wanting/waiting for a P1S sequel for material diversity that comes on enclosed printers and just settle for PLA/PETG on the A series. There's no end to this rabbit hole 🫠
@LoyalMoses23 сағат бұрын
I know EXACTLY how you feel! If it has been 7 years, I would without a doubt buy an A1 mini w/ AMS-Lite -- get into the hobby, experience this new generation of machines and their near perfect user experience and print quality! There will always be another printer whenever you are ready!
@graveworks113023 сағат бұрын
I started with the X1C with AMS which is a bit overkill and then added the standalone A1 Mini, no AMS. If I could only buy one, I would get the A1 combo with the AMS. I don't do a lot of multicolor printing but one of the most under-rated features of the AMS is having 4 filament options on standby ready to go and easily swapping any one of them out. I rarely change filament colors on my A1 mini as it's a bit of a pain, so the X1C is my go to unless I can use whatever color I have in the mini, which I otherwise prefer printing with because it is so much quieter. Bottom line, get the AMS with whatever printer you get, it just makes printing that much simpler, even if you rarely do multicolor.

Thanks for the content. I am commenting more for the algorithm. I really want one of these and I am tempted to get the mini just based on the price but then I can get a used Elego Max 3 from the website for just a bit more.. I've cut my teeth on an Ender 3 v2 and really want to do Warhammer 40k proxies so the mini fits that bill, but being able to do full-size masks and maybe an IG 88 full-size droid is appealing. I hate living on a budget. lol

Already having a x1c, I bought a mini combo as a secondary printer. Being at 1600 problem free hours with my x1c after a year and half, the mini gives a well merited rest to my x1c taking care of the smaller print or those that don't need fancy filament. I sometime regret not having bought the bigger A1 but all and all, the mini simply fill the needs I bought it for. Now, All I need is a bigger Bambu Lab printer... 😅

If the print quality is that close together and the Creality is at least $150 cheaper than FL Sun and $250 cheaper than the Bambu Labs, I would take the Creality for the bigger build volume. It's 30% bigger than the P1S and almost twice the size of the T1, ON THE PLATE. Most people hardly ever max out their build height. The FL Sun has a circular build plate which really limits how big of a square you print on it. I don't print near as many large round objects as I do large square or oblong objects. To top it all off, the Creality and the P1S will print larger round objects than the FL Sun. If printing long skinny objects, the Creality can go over 420mm diagonally, the wider the shorter you can print. When it comes to noise levels, the FL Sun is atrocious. It sounds like a jet engine on steroids. The P1S with the cabinet closed is probably the quietest. Speed is nice, but not as big a factor as print quality and price.
