Jeff, as a viewer I feel like when you fall short on something, it's very much 'icing on the cake' type stuff in the grand scheme of things. Being a good dad, husband, helping clients, training & sticking to your diet, that's numero uno, & the vlogs are icing on the cake. Still good to have them though.

Love this message! Important reminder. In my past, I went so far the other direction (pushed myself too hard, tore my hip labrum --> burned out --> surgery --> 1 year recovery) that now I'm hyperaware & at times feel overly cautious. But, overall i've learned and just as you preach, slow and steady beats crashing and burning. Do what you gotta do for the show tho! Maintaining steady on the dials of life is easier said than done. Appreciate you sharing your learnings as always 🙏🏻 thanks, Jeff!!!

Always bring snacks on a hike! I like roasted unsalted almonds for snacks or a protein bar or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Depends on what is on your diet plan.

I'm in the same place. Had talk with client, about his effort or lack of it more or less. Well, I've been slacking with diet and steps recently, still got a lot of time till november show but - thats only another excuse not to put effort in. I take it as another sign to commit and stop screwing around. Thanks Jeff!

Well done Jeff. Admitting your weaknesses is a great start. I find on cold walks a small hot water bottle in my coat pocket eases any freezing fingers if that helps lol

I don’t care if you’re updates aren’t regular. Each one is gold and more value most other’s content in ten videos!! Re cardio. Historically I would have been skeptical about the value of steps for fat loss. But now I’m 53 I’ve found that cardio is very helpful for fat loss. Currently swimming 3 x a week and it’s helping. Have had to reduce the number of Gym sessions though as I swim pretty hard

I appreciate the words, thank you. Cardio/steps, depends on context. A construction worker and a office worker. Obviously activity level vastly different. The construction worker gets steps due to the job, so he/she may not need any assigned steps. The office worker, assigning steps might make a lot of sense for obvious reasons especially if calories are on the lower side. Most things fitness, context is so important to know.

Yup, I always mention that to all my athletes I work with, it's cold for California lol. I'm sure there are other complaints we all make where someone else can chuckle. The human experiment haha. Thanks for watching, appreciated!

Either fullbody or upper/lower. I’m currently doing upper/lower each worked 1 x week with 4 all out set per muscle. If fullbody , I just do 2 sets per muscle, basics the same weekly volume either way. I like each only 1 x week because I’m guaranteed muscle / joint recovery. It also allows me to program in cardio easier so there is no overlap.
