Great Joel! I hope that you can do more of these kinds of videos. Showing entrepreneurs who have managed to use hobby-level 3D Printers to actually produce their products on a production level is great. Much like Prusa has done. Investing hundreds of thousands, or millions of dollars on conventional equipment - like injection molding and expensive dies, is far beyond the ability of many who have the ideas, but lack the necessary funding. As the company grows, they will, of course, expand into more conventional production methods. But, those like Prusa and Luke have proved that it is actually possible to start small, yet still have the ability to produce their products in medium-level production quantities - without all of the headaches involved in the typical startup businesses that are forced to seek typical finance methods. Kudos and High Fives to them and you!

The bay area in California has 6 active clubs, there's clubs all over the US, and in countries like the UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore and so much more... It's spreading like crazy, so odds are there's something near you, and if there isn't get in touch with our community and we'll help you form a club! We just came back from a 7 hour indoor highly competitive event today in California. There's so many different ways to play. Maybe we'll see Joel at a game soon?!

Its fascinating and successful people like this, running a full production company out of their garage, that make me hold distain for people who complain that they dont have the resources to start a business. NOT every business is started with "daddy money". In fact, theres thousands more self-made mom and pop businesses that find success, than major corporations. Albeit on a much smaller scale (obviously).
