Thank you for showing how to put it back in the bag. My old tend (destroyed in the hail) was a four person tend and I never figured out how to put it back in. Always needed another one of the giant blue IKEA bags to carry all the parts 😂

Thanks for posting this. I have used this tent for over a year and love it. It's been great for bikepacking and walking for me and my wife ( on my own, loads of room). I use cut tennis balls on my poles to protect the tent ⛺. I changed out the pegs and have camped at Loch Avon Cairngorms in high winds and been fine, I justice pitched it lower.

Mine arrives tomorrow, I'm already exited. I read that it's a bit difficult to pitch, but after watching your bid I'm positive I will be able to set it up. The only thing that makes me worry is my personal cloud. I've camped in tends 25 times in my life and I had 70%rain and four times hail... Well, we shall see...

I got one , liked it so much that I got the winter liner for winter camping . Great set up, I like it that I can use it as just a single tarp , or use a guidline to pitch . Very versatile.

I can see its still not grown on you 🤣 I took my lanshan 1 in 50 mph the first time I used it and it did me very proud! I've heard the airflow is a lot better with the lanshan 2 though. Your question about the back and front being high, you can lower it with the trekking poles, but you would obviously suffer more condensation. I tend to guy out the fly parts, as it keeps the net off your face more. I'm a little annoyed they have a khaki version now, but hey I paid £80 for it 😁 Nice review Dan 👌

Hi Dan. Informative video, cheers. I'm interested in the comparison you are doing with the Tangram. I agree with what you said about the Tangram's guy lines potentially being well positioned - i.e. 3 at the 'ends' which sort of feels like it may support the poles better. However the Tangram uses the poles 'spike up' which means they won't bite into the ground like they do in the Lanshan so maybe it won't be stable after all! A real weak point of the Tangram to me is the waterproof rating - it is only 1500 HH and I assume that is for both the fly and the groundsheet. I've now seen quite a few videos of the Lanshan standing up to wind and rain, but without actually being there it's hard to appreciate how bad the weather really was. I haven't found very many videos of the Tangram at all never mind in bad conditions. There is a good rain test video, but there was no wind driving the rain. I've seen two with wind but in one of them the tent collapsed (camped in a col though and wind was very strong - no idea of actual speed unfortunately). I use a banshee 200 which I think is a great tent, but as you know there isn't much room in them :-( I was hoping I could use the Tangram for summer camps in the hills (but not higher hill summits) if it truely is waterproof. I would upgrade the guy lines and pegs though. Anyway cheers for the video. All the best, KT.

Excellent review. I have a bunch of tents and not looking for another just yet but if I was, this would be a top contender for a woodland or campsite tent. Not sure I would be comfortable relying on it in any kind of serious weather on the top of a hill. I like the format/layout and especially the height to sit up inside. You made it look easy to put up but in any kind of wind I would be chasing it around. The up-in-one is ideal and a good design feature when needing to put it up in any kind of rain. Nice one Mr CLB. W :)

I have a problem with the height of the fly, with only one peg holding it down I'd be worried that it would take off in the night.. defiantly a fair weather tent for me. but as a lightweight option I like it. however I favour the Tangram for stability.

Great tent and u can pitch them a lot closer to the ground. Also this is the the 3 season one not the four season I think by looking at it goo information though I think with all ultralight tent and capes practice makes perfect with them getting the pit perfected. And everyone has there own way of how they like to have it pitched to

Nice demo Dan👍 Seems a bit odd the fly edge is so far off the ground, yeah that's worrisome. Looks a good fair weather option for ultralight fans though. Have you pitched the outer skin separately first then attached the inner tent body? Did it make any difference in dimension, or outer fly closer to the ground?.. Good video, thanks. Enjoy!

yeah, I find the height of the fly a worry.. defiantly a summer tent for me, and I'd be checking the wind before I pack it. I've only ever pitched it the way I did in the video. I'd be afraid if I took it apart I wouldn't get it back together again!

I'm guessing the green and orange tag ends are a traffic light system, personally I believe anything orange should be banged into the ground so it works for me. I reckon it's a great summer tent, not sure I'd use it before late spring and after late autumn.

yes you do, which is a bit poor. I forgot to say that in the video. thats a tough question. it does depend on the nature of the trip and the weather, but the Tangram would win for me more often that not. I feel this one is just for summer, with not much wind on the forecast.

@@CampLifeBushcraft a lot of manufacturers are getting a bit excessivly wacky trying to reinvent the wheel with their designs, I think Sierra designs have a tent where the fly stops 18 inches from the the ground, I think they've started a trend.
