I guess that our mind has some kind of mechanism which is almost always trying to make us fall in the circle of repetitive thoughts, when we sit and just watch all that flow, we can understand a bit of the pattern of the mind. Handle the roots of those thoughts helps us understand better ourselves. I like to make some breathing exercises as well and it's working for me. The best is the best, we can't do anything more than that. Great video

The difference between anxiety and fear is that fear has an object and anxiety has no object. Fear provides options -- if I am afraid of spiders or failure or my job, there are options. But with anxiety, it triggers the fight or flight response but there is nothing fight and nothing to run from. I think the process you describe is good for fear or nervousness, but if my anxiety has no object, I cannot write it down. So, what do I do for generalized anxiety. (Not posting this as a critique (at least not intentionally) or as a rebuttal, but as a sincere inquiry for those of us who have generalized anxiety and/or PTSD.) Thanks for your videos. I found them in my search for Bhakti Yoga.

Yes, you're right. This video is not for general anxiety, but for more specific things that are troubling. For general anxiety the solution is to be here and now, to constantly practice mindfulness - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pn6qkoWFbZpljK8. In my book, The 3T Path, I explain how to fit this mentality of the here and now with dharma (purpose) and devotion (bhakti) to greatly reduce anxiety in life.
