as a mobile mechanic, i jam them tight. drawers sag, get stuck, one doesn't fit into the floor mount. Ex. the ratchet drawer. I've got full sets swivel ratchet metric, standard, metric and standard crows feet, metric and standard half moon wrenches in one drawer. absolutely its heavy, otherwise that would be a full size packout 4 drawer. gotta love driving a class 6 truck to move air around. its like paying to ship water

4k is insane even for milwaukee. Like how do you even get to that number. 600 bucks for the packout cabinets and drawers and tops 800 bucks for the tools puts it at 1400 bucks 4k is absolutely diabolical

The Milwaukee wrenches are almost as good as the snap-on flank drive wrenches the non ratcheting set is $200 the ratcheting flex heads are $400-$500, the socket sets are $600 for all the chrome socket sets alone, with the other tools easily making it another $500-$800, so with the foam inserts, and the Packout it could easily be over 4k you can go to an online retailer and try and price everything individually and see its likely much more

Pittsburgh at harbor freight does the same shit, $118 225pc set gets you almost everything you need to start, $11 channel lock set, $20 screw driver set $30 plier set, $20 wrench set and a $30 ratcheting set, $20 extension set you’re at like $250 deep in what they’re offering minus a tool box , $300 for a decent box and you got everything they’re offering in that pack out for $600-700. The money you save there will love you with over $3000 to spend on a good power tool set, call it $500 name brand for what you’ll need, get a torque wrench set there for $100, and a $400 diagnostic obd2 you’ll have 1,400-1500 to drop on a few specialty tools to make the job easier. Yes they’re cheaper made tools, Milwaukee makes good tools but at the end of the day for a basic starting kit you can get so much more for 4K, yes the tools will break/ wear faster, but even if you break one thing in a set they’re under 120 to replace the whole fucking set.

Worth it, tools are expensive,hard,and time consuming for someone who wants to start automotive, this has all basic tools plus a toolbox, what just maybe a snide cart for any special tools or electric tools, not a Milwaukee fan boy but I know a good set and that would be one, $4000 which all basic tools organized and foamed compared to $4000 on snap-on would be a tool cart with couple of ratchets

That's a good question. I recall that they have a new facility in West Bend, Wisconsin where some of the hand tools are made, like screwdrivers and pliers. They also make some items in their Brookfield location such as multi-tool blades. I'm not sure about everything else. They did mention at Pipeline that they're working to expand more USA made products. I didn't see any info on their sockets and wrenches.

@@MarkThomasBuilder yea im down the road from West Bend. don't get ur hopes up. the YT shorts are made in the back yard. hence the field grass as their lawn. they always have sales people that don't look the part selling something they'd never buy in the first place. i take my warranty tools to the Brookfield location. its bare in there, shelves have signs but no product... funny how SF Supply in Grand Rapids Michigan has a great if not the best selection I've seen. Also goes for Neus building products in Menomonee Falls WI. I've lost hope in TTI. wish Mikata had a platform like MKE and was still made in Japan

While I agree the price is way too much... Technically speaking you're doing the math wrong. If you ever looked at prices for individual tools, the smaller ones are cheaper than the bigger ones. For example, a 10mm wrench would be $10-13. A 22mm would be $17-35. But since since it's rare to buy individuals at least for sockets (hex, Allen, torx, etc) and wrenches, it'd make more sense to group ⅜ hex sockets as a kit and standard ratcheting wrenches as a group, for example. One the bright side, no bits! Like the home Depot or Lowe's special where you get a box of 180-380 tools but like 50 of them are bits...

If you're a pro, you're buying snap-on. If you're not a pro you should buy a gear wrench set for like $350 that has 95% of everything you'll ever need. Confused as to who this is for.

Yes, I could see it working very well for electricians. One drawer for clamp meters & multi meters. One drawer for wire nuts, staples, etc. Definitely would hold all the hand tools.

all i see is wasted space and the dividers suck. the new packout drawers are made in a different factory than the first batch. definitely issues with the 4 i bought from different retailers. what a waste of a good company. but then again I did get suckered into the farm fleet deal. buy two 6.0 and get a tool free. if you confuse the sales people with part numbers and options they give up and give you better?higher part# tools for free. must cost 20 bucks in north Korea to produce. and why didn't they put a super rapid charger in that new 18in fan? i had to do it myself...i guess give it 4 months.
