This is so fascinating. Human's curiosity is so powerful and beautiful that something as inconsequential as finding a specific way to finish a level from a 33 years old game as fast as possible is still absolutely mesmerizing. The knowledge about 4-2 is useless for humans as a whole, it won't help us transcend our knowledge, increase the efficiency of science, medicine, etc. but just the fact that that knowledge exists and that it's possible is enough to drive a bunch of people to discover it and I think that's just absolutely gorgeous.

I mean... ever played an online game? That's probably the most common type of gamer tag next to various exploits involving other gamers' mothers. Play Overwatch for an hour and you'll engage in combat alongside such genius sounding members of society as BongKing69, YourMomzMine96, TokeCommander, and the ever popular 420Wizard. The thing one comes to find is that shit means jack shit... they could turn out to be what you expect... some 30 year old welfare recipient stoned on his couch and munching Cheetos... but so often they're also your neighbor or CEO, and they're just fitting in or, more often, you're forced to capitulate your buy-in on the stereotypes. For God's sake, my GT used to be Tripping Moose, and I'm hardly Timothy Leary. It's just a funny gamer tag. Funny how many people want to dismiss that anyone with a drug related user name, though. I'm a computer programmer, btw. Not expecting that from the gamer tag? Yeah... welcome to 2018.
