Hi, Katie, your state has some really interesting stones, very different from what you'd find in Connecticut and other parts of New England where we have Granite pegmatite and minerals like beryl, lepidolite, tourmaline, cassiterite, zircon, sphene and wolframite to name a few.
@KatyDidRocks3 ай бұрын
I was in Massachusetts recently - I'd love to explore New England!
@joane.landers91513 ай бұрын
@@KatyDidRocks Sounds like you need to spend quite a bit of time in New England & you need to do a fair amount of research on each state before getting to these six states. You might also like to check out the Natural History Museums with Geology/Mineral/Gems exhibits in these states, also. If you like plants/flowers/etc., there is one further N/H/M which is associated with Harvard University that I think you'll be amazed with: The Glass Flowers. This is online, so you can check it out. Even though I live in CT, I have seen the exhibit which is across the hall from rock, mineral, gem exhibit. The 1st time I saw both exhibits was when my 11th Grade English teacher, who taught American Literature, took a bus load of kids including me to Boston for the day in 1957 to see important sites, including the N H M @ Harvard. Over the years, I have seen both exhibits 7-8 times.

You really found a LOT to work with. NICE.
