I can remember like it was yesterday. This guy took my playing from average to intermediate almost instantly. His boxes really unlocked the guitar for me. It was like an explosion of licks just came out of those boxes for me. That was 8 years ago. I learned all this from his free stuff on KZbin. Can only imagine what his course would have done.

To all you people complaining about the tuning, if you can't handle him being a half step down, then you are not ready for this stuff anyway. It's really not a big deal. Are you just going to play these licks in the key you learn them? No (I hope not) learn to move the licks around.

I'm just starting out. At the 4:11 , top E bend, how can I avoid the B and G strings flicking under my third finger and ringing out? It happens everytime I bend a up a full step on the top strings. I tried a low action and high action, nothing fixes it. Must I palm mute the other strings to do any bends? That doesn't seem right and it is difficult to palm mute specific strings. Help please. Thanks. Good lessons.

One thing that should be emphasized is that when bending notes, it's CRITICAL to bend up to the correct pitch. I notice in all these videos, that the instructor almost always bends sharp, bending past the desired pitch. It takes a lot of practice to perfect bends, which is evident here. This guy is an awesome teacher with great videos, but even his bends are almost always sharp when he bends the high e string up a full step. Ear Training is a must! Thanks for posting....JM
