to charge the capacitor, you don't need any circuit, you just need a 9V battery. You just have to put it on the two terminals of te capacitor and charge

I did something like the pencil one except with a mechanical pencil and it had one of those spiny tops to make the eraser bigger but we took out the eraser and put in a rolled piece of paper and I wrote to my friend from across the classroom by sliding it on the floor and then acting like we dropped our pencil lol we got away with it to 😂😆
