@@lonmond if you don't mind traveling a little bit Wellesley Island state park is fantastic or any place along the St Lawrence River for that matter. A good friend of mine just opened an off grid style place. Look up grindstone creek getaway in Parish NY. Just had another Amish built cabin done for the property spent alot of time there and it's truly one of a kind place to go! I'm got a handful of other locations I can send ya as well.

I moved to japan last year, have been watching mav for like 4 years and got interested in camping, I finally bought my first camp gears like last month and went to my first camping in shizouka.
