@@jorieboy11 you can't look at something that's already expensive and say something that's more money isn't worth it imo. You have to look at it in a percentage basis. If you want to compare 5k to 20k then it's more ridiculous for someone to buy a $300 pair of shoes when a $50 pair would work just fine in my mind. Also 99% of the time the more you pay for a car the better it is.
@redsea12344 жыл бұрын
20k is chump change. I would be more worried if my significant other was spending their money stupidly on clothe lines such as Gucci or Louis Vuitton which is what women like to waste their money on when they could get the same quality at a cheaper price. Same goes for people who spend their money on something like a Rolls Royce or Land Rovers when they know they’re going to be plummeting in price later on. You can still spend big bucks money on cars all you want, just make sure it’s also a good investment and won’t be losing much.

That really doesn't change as you get older. The last time I met a fellow car enthusiast outside of a car meet was about a year ago, and it was because some dumbass nearly t-boned his GT500. What does change, once you get a car of your own, is how easy it is to seek out other car guys. Through social media, it becomes incredibly easy to find car meets

Once you get your permit and or car go out and talk to people with cars that you're interested in. It's what I do since I don't care for social media, it also helps having a car people associate with being a car guy. @@NGKGMR I have other hobbies too that isn't related to car, and supportive friends who aren't necessarily car guys. Sometimes, components of cars can be found somewhere else. Try comparing the iconic Boxer engine of Subaru and Cessna 152's engine.

I wish there were more car people in my school. Everyone is either talking about daddy’s money or TikTok. I don’t have a car, heck I don’t even have a driver’s license. I used to have some friends that were into cars, but they either started home school, or moved away. I just wish I could face to face talk about cars with someone. I’m trying to get my crush into cars cause I have her number, but she leaves me on read for 30 minutes and then says she’s busy and can’t talk. I don’t question her cause maybe she has a lot of chores or something. But I’m in a discord and we talk about cars and games and stuff like that. But I want the face to face talking. It’s better that way.

I know this may sound kind of sketchy, but since I cant drive yet, I find a nice patch of grass next to the street by a grocery store or something, and I wait for a nice car to pull in. I go to talk to the owner, and they always really appreciate a kid like me complimenting their car. I dunno, it's something to try if you want interaction. I've gotten lucky a few times where they would give me a rev or two. I have a few videos of those experiences on my channel if you want to take a look :)

The financial wall (cost of ownership) ...I think you breifly touched on it in the video. In England and U.K it's around 1 grand in total to complete all driver training to get your licence, 1 grand+ for insurance in the first year of driving, annual car tax, £1.225 per UK gallon for fuel and an annual ministry of transport test and service. And that's before accounting for mods and other maintenance. I'm not opposed to this penalty as cars pollute the earth but its finicially taxing to be a young car enthusiast in the UK. My love for cars and driving is still present though... Driving is great

My pepé has a hobby for golf. But his side-hobby is rebuilding classic cars. He's rebuilt an MG roadster, and he's currently building a small-block ford f100. Currently drives slow. Bodywork is slowly coming along, and is working on getting paint. He also goes to a lot of classic car shows, with his roadster, and reluctant wife. He's a nice guy, great to meet, and he'll be happy to share his disgusting beer with you.

The first one Is completely about everyone. I live in a family of non car guys, or Better, they like cars, but they dont completely love It. So, even if Im 12, i try to be more informed about Cars as much as possible, and no, im not the Classic GTR Nissan 12 yr old fan boy, in fact, i like Retro Lancias, and in the future i want to own a Delta Integrale. Now, i know what It takes to own a car and how complicated Is, but i still want to, however, my family says everytime the same annoying things, for ex.: YUo CanT oWn A dELtA!1!1!1 ITs ToO rArE!1 aND iS ExSpENsIve!1!1! When in reality here in Italy It costs only 25.000€s and It takes nothing to find one on a vending site, maybe the only problem ill have with a Delta Is because It sucks a lot of gasoil, so It will cost to always reload the car with fuel, but its ok, its a risk in willing to make. The whole point of this comment Is about one thing: if you want and you feel like you can do something, do It, do not care about people saying that you cant, because its bullshit. Thanks for the video and the demosteation of how someone can Say nosense bullshit to you, and the fun fact Is that im 12 and i know more about cars( engineering and story ) than my whole family.

I really wish I could get back into the game but having a mortgage and a kid on the way it’s just not possible. I don’t regret owning those cars when I was younger but I also wish I bought a property/invested in stocks earlier

The thing about saving to other people, it’s also hard to tell if the person is in the community or if it’s their “status symbol”. It’s extra effort to get a motorcycle license so everyone that’s on a bike is likely in the community

@@runner05 thanks, my plans for it includes swapping the engine for a v6 3.5 l the one in the sports edition Camrys. But, before I put it in I will upgrade the internals. With the upgrades I will be able to do a 20 lb turbo. And if I did my math correctly it will produce around 800 whp. And honestly nobody expects a Camry to haul a$$.
