Great video! I have installed handlebar mirrors on both my Apollo Explore handlebars. An absolute necessity in NYC. I am not willing to leave my EV out for several more months to come, but I do find the u-lock with alarm and disc alarm interesting. What I would like to see is something that locks the wheels. No way to prevent theft from putting it on the back of a truck, but there should be something to lock the wheels so no one can just scoot it away. I wish there were tougher penalties for thieves, and people would stop treating theft as just "another day in the city". Maybe one day... Thanks for posting the links as well!

Fwiw the disc brake does lock the wheel. At least, the one its attached to. It prevents the tire from being able to make a full rotation, sort of like a boot on a car

mirror looks great but i just installed it on my Apollo City Pro 2022 and cant see anything but my big arms on the way. Doesnt matter the position you try to put it on, your body is in the way! Going to return and look for a bar end bike mirror. The mirror is good perhaps for bike use but not for e scooter.

That 360 view was intense. Would you say the suspension travel compensates for the wheel size in terms of overall road feel? My experience with small-wheeled machines - short of 20" folding bicycles - have been a beat Xiaomi M365 (white Bird), Ninebot ES4 (Spin), and one Jump based on the Electisan F350. There's no doubt the dual-motor Wolf Warrior is in a class of its own and can't be compared with those road-going e-scooters, but I'm curious nevertheless - just from the standpoint of road feel/handling on the (relatively speaking to a bicycle) small wheel diameter.
@GingerOnWheels4 жыл бұрын
I don't think you can really get perfect suspension on a scooter, like you said the wheels are just too small. But the suspension does do a really good job at saving your hands and wrists on larger bumps. Road feel on a downhilling mountain bike is like a pillow compared to any scooter, but road feel on the Wolf Warrior is like a pillow compared to a lime scooter.

@GingerOnWheels4 жыл бұрын
I've had no problems with my suspension. It's much firmer than the rubber suspension / swing arm type shocks, which is better for offroading in my opinion on a scooter at least. I do prefer the spring type shocks on the 11x for long cruises though, they dampen fine bumps very well.

Where did you get the front wheel fender from? Also, have you considered installing the Immobilizer Alarm System from REVRides or Falcon PEV? I've installed it on my Apollo Pro with a keyed ignition system and it works great. Super loud alarm system that doesn't allow anyone to turn the scooter on without the remote key fob.
@GingerOnWheels3 жыл бұрын
I made it the fender. I have considered the immobilizer, I've actually got one on my Fiido bike, but I don't have one on the scoot. I'm not a giant fan of the fact that someone can still push your scooter away even with the alarm blaring, and the alarm only lasts a minute on the one I have.

Hey bro, are those alarmed u-lock and rotor lock worth it? Do they ever go off accidentally? I searched "U-lock bike" on Amazon and there's literally a gagillion u-locks SMH. I know the Kryptonite name but their prices are ridiculous in my opinion... just curious really how this u-lock fits your scooter since it's originally designed for a bicycle, and how reliable the alarm function is? Thanks!

Hey man! So the lock that I use specifically is in the description below. It has a mount for attaching it to bike frames that can be pretty easily mounted to the Wolf. I use the ulock every time I lock up and the rotor lock also if I plan on being over an hour. The ulock has saved me once. I heard it go off and ran out of line in a restaurant I was in and there was a guy outside "just checking it out when it suddenly went off". My ass. Ulock worth every penny.

I hope you’ve gotten yourself a Kryptonite D shackle by now ;) They’re expensive, but totally worth it. Alarms tend to be a waste of time in my experience. Although, I would love those alarmed equipment though, that would scare me a fair bit 😂 You should check out the lockpickinglawyer He does amazing videos to help make you feel insecure about your security, in a good way :)
@GingerOnWheels4 жыл бұрын
Not going to spend money on that. If someone is roaming around with an angle grinder they're going to get through whatever they want. It'd be 30 seconds on my lock vs a minute with another lock. Not worth the extra cash to me.
@JamiePineappleWyatt4 жыл бұрын
Ginger On Wheels fair enough man :) In comparison to the spend on the scoot though, it does seem rather negligible to pay that price for security. That is my opinion, but I also understand not wanting to spend $200 on a lock, fuck that. I’d rather buy a decent padlock (beefier the better) and a bunch of 1” anchor chain from the local hardware. Put a bicycle tube over it, tadaaa perfectly good bitch whacker, plus it’s a great lock and gives you more options for mounting through the frame and wrapping around poles tight eg. How cheap were the alarmed units? Nothing wrong with that by the way :) Honestly, if they’ve got an angle grinder and no ones busting their asses I’d be seriously concerned about my community 😂 Just watch that your locks are not shimmable at the least man. Shims can be make from coke cans and honestly is the primary attack around here lately. (That is worth the extra $$$) as shimmable licks are just useless anyways (I used one for my bike for years with no problems though, mind you, no one would want to steal my bike) That disk brake can be beaten by simply screwing a screw into it until the casted housing cracks to pieces. I haven’t found any “suitable” versions of these yet, I’ll let you know if I ever find one though. Please don’t take this as a “you don’t know shit” situation, it’s not, I really appreciate the info you gave, us just like to make a bunch of options available for cheapasses like myself and those willing to drop the cash too. Peace :)

Annoying me again.😇 May i give a tip about the front discbrakelock with alarm. Buy some kind of bright colored cord and attache one end to the discbrakelock and the other end to the handlebar. Preferable somewhere around the right side where you controll your speed. The only fuction is has is to remind you that there is discbrakelock attached to your discbrakes. Their is a possibility that you will forget that is there and will start to ride. Causing damage at your discs is quite possible. The electric engine has a lot of power. Only a slightly bent disc i shit. On motorcycles we do this all the time. And beleive me. One out of 20 or 30 times you will forget it and making you very pissed.😇 And how do you think how i felt trying to drive away with a blast from the terrace where i had a drink. Revving up the engine a few times, putting it in gear and letting the gearhandle go.🙈 A bloody hard crackling sound was what followed. The disc totally to hell and 500.00 euro lighter. Instead of only the 3 euro for a Coke.🤭 It is a very common problem with those kind of locks. Learn from my mistake. And those cheap Chinese locks are extremely easy to unlock. The pro's are already walking around with a one key fits all. If you put that kind of lock in a wet towel the sound is almost gone to zero. Really, try it out at home. You will be shocked. Abus has a very good version of this tyle of lock. In the shape of a diablo so you won't get any grip with tools. Not even with an angle grinder. It is not cheap and costs around 150 dollar. I think that the manufacteres of these scooter must build in somekind of eye so people can use a chain lock. Because of the weight of these scooters it is way better if you can secure it to something. Also under the scooter their is room for two or three rods. They have to be 80 cm and when parked you shoukd have to rotate them 90 degrees so these rods will stick out on the left as the right side. Then it would become impossible to walk away with it. If you have a few rods sticking out a thief is not able to walk beside the scooter. Maybe also attach some razorblades on the rods? 😇😇😂

Hey great video thanks for sharing! I like the mirror, where did you get it? I own a $1500 emove cruiser and it weighs about 55 pounds. I agree about the rotor lock- it's not worth damaging your rotor- if a thief tries to run with your scooter, with the rotor lock it can damage your rotors, which are precision parts! I went with a simple bike lock that goes through the bottom of the stem. This is just to deter a grab and run. In New York City they roll up in a little pickup and a few guys would lift a whole motorcycle and throw it in the back - bye motorcycle! My point is that If they want it bad enough they're going to get it; and really how much hardware can you carry with you to lock up your scooter!? It becomes very counter-productive to use multiple locks, alarms, and other security gadgets. What you want is a simple deterence! Just a small cable lock would do the trick. Also.. look into renters or homeowners insurance which covers theft of a scooter. Worst case scenario is paying a $500 deductible, which is better than a total loss. I looked into the gps tracking device, but that's out of the question- not paying a monthly fee for that! Put your full name and address inside your handlebar- I've done that with all my bikes etc; if it gets stolen and you happen to 'see' it again, call the cops- when they show up, the thief will of course deny your claim that's its stolen, that's when you tell the Police Officer your name and info is inside the handlebar. www.amazon.com/dp/B07VHZKMD5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_dlC_UkH1FbJQHTM3X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
