That was BRILLIANT! Stay away from processed foods and eat high protein and good fats and healthy vegetables is the best. It was the best decision I could have ever made 6 years ago. Thanks for your videos, I love to see how your family thrives living this way.

Thank you so much for the info! I'm saving this video for the future and hoping to incorporate some of those same dishes in my life like the liver pate and the carrot salad. :) I also struggle with eating beef organs. Right now, for our family of eight, soon to be nine, we eat fresh milled sourdough bread, Kefir, L. Reuteri yogurt, homemade sauerkraut, and bone broth. But I'm always looking for more healthy food to add to our diets. God bless you and your beautiful family.

Thank you for this! I had to supplement progesterone in my first pregnancy and I'm hoping to avoid that in the future. I never heard of the carrot salad before so I will definitely be trying that!!

I love liver and so do my adult sons. I've never thought of trying the pate version, however am very anxious to try it on toast for breakfast and snacks during the day. Thank you for the tips. Who said you can't teach an oldie (61) new tricks

Seeing her grate that cabbage makes me appreciate my food processor more :P
@FromScratchFarmstead2 сағат бұрын
Ha! I actually used to have a food processor but got rid of it because I couldn't justify how big it was for how little I used it. But I agree that for this application, it would definitely come in handy! 🤪 Thanks for watching!

us english eat all organ meat, i love garlic pate on toast most days, or liver and onions in gravy with mash and veg, steak and kidney pie is a top fave in england ,also stuffed heart, black pudding is another of my fave made out of pigs blood....the scots though go one further, and eat haggis using organ meat and the lungs, all of the animal is not wasted and very good for you xx

Is the coconut oil crucial to the carrot salad? We don’t use the grocery store so I’m wondering if I would need that or would need to substitute another fat.
@FromScratchFarmsteadСағат бұрын
It's not essential. Coconut oil specifically does have some specific acids beneficial to health like caprilyc acid and lauric acid but other oils like high quality, pure extra virgin olive oil can have similar effects. Hope this helps!

Is chicken liver also good? thanks!
@FromScratchFarmsteadСағат бұрын
It is!! It's not as robust in nutrients as beef liver but it's still great! And chicken liver has a more milder flavor so it's a great place to start if you aren't used to the taste. Thanks for watching!
