Poor Dave. He tastes some odd things. But Anne does cook some great meals for him and the boys. He doesn't have to eat yucky stuff all the time.

There's no way that they make the macarons every time. Also, they probably have more than one person doing a job. So the fact that you got so much done (whilst having to swap out the caramel pans) all on your own in a little over four hours is nothing short of impressive.

Also, I’m sure the actual shop takes more shortcuts than she would have. Making up big batches means things go quicker, they probably buy the macaroons, and shortcut whatever else they can. They wouldn’t have to make the ice cream every day.

@@GigsVT macaron shells and most kinds of filling keep very well frozen, over 1 month at the least. Most places that don't make their own probably receive them from suppliers this way. This £99 cone shouldn't be worth more than maybe a fifth of the price including the labour of assembly.

That means that the 4 hours is an exaggeration. Ann made it in 4+ hours by making everything herself, but if they're just buying stuff pre-made, the 4 hours for them is an exaggeration.

It's pretty, but it doesn't sound like those things go together AT ALL. To me, caramel, chocolate, manga, passionfruit, ginger, the white chocolate & caramel thing, the macaron... just way too much going on. I don't get why anyone would ever pay $200 for that O_O Now, just the homemade salted caramel soft serve, I'd take that in a heartbeat.

They didn't say it was lucklustre, they said it was good, just not worth 200 dollars lol. Even amazing ice cream isn't worth 200 dollars (especially a single cone), because that's a ridiculous price. And to be fair, almost anyone would take a fullyfunctional speaker and a simple but delicious ice cream cone over good but overpriced ice cream. There's no competition (and it was clearly a well worked in ad spot!)

It definitely looks really nice, but it kinda seems like there's a lot going on just for the sake of making it seem cooler and it also seems inconvenient to eat. I would rather have something simple that's just really well made. This seems gimmicky, which I guess is probably intentional.

The things I find unecessary are the decorations. The chocolate spoon, the macaroon, the flakes, the diamond whatever they are called the things on the cone ..... like, what's the point? Why can't someone just enjoy the taste of the icecream and the sorbet alone without all of those things? Personally if I'm eating icecream I'd like to enjoy it on it's own same as if I was eating macaroons or chocolate or something else. The just added those things to make it 200 dollars

I made the mistake of saying that I love dark chocolate (meaning it enhances the taste of fruit, cakes, basically that it's the best topping) and for years people have been buying me blocks of really bitter, dark chocolate. For eating chocolate I now definitely prefer milk. As a topping dark is still the go to. White chocolate does well with certain things but the flavour isn't too strong so it's really 'special interest'. Ironically I'm gonna put some white choc in my apple-cinnamon muffins for tomorrow's Halloween party 😉

Anne is the only person that would be truthful to the timer. Masterchef and other youtubers would edit it to seem they made it on time. One contestant said she stuffed up in her cooking and she went over 1 hour overtime in masterchef but they edited to seem she made it within the timeframe with her stuff up....

Ann & her family are THE BEST! The billionaire cone's parts all looked good but not sure I'd care to have all those different flavors in the same dessert. You have inspired me to try to recreate a sorbet flavor that was a family favorite but hasn't been seen in years called Mandarin Chocolate Sherbet - very dark chocolate with pronounced orange.

Hey ann! I'm an aspiring food scientist currently in the middle of my study. I was wondering about your journey on becoming one, the major, your uni (or just the area if you would prefer anonimity) your struggles, and all the other aspects on becoming a food scientist. I would really appreciate if yoy could make a video of that since not many people know what it takes to be a food scientist, and i would like to know as a fellow scientist! Love your work always ❤
