Hey man, love the channel. I notice you don't cover up the light fixtures/ security cameras/ electronics. Have you ever had an issue with this? The last house I did I blew out 2 lights on a house because I got SH on them, and now I'm real nervous around the lights/electronics.
@YoungAmbitionYA2 жыл бұрын
Hey Frank. I've done over 300 washes and I popped a outdoor socket 1 time. Don't hit outlets or lights any different then how it would rain on them. It doesn't pop during a thunderstorm so it shouldn't with a wash. Light fan spray around those types of things and never directly if you can help it. If the odds were worse than 1 in 300+ then I'd probably tape or cover but at those odds and being a little careful it's just a waste of time

Hey man, I appreciate your content. Really good being "straight forward". I'm ready to put together my first soft wash system. I see on your "everything you use" list that you list a 1/2 inch hose and a 3/4 hose. Are they both for soft wash? why 2 sizes? Thanks....
@YoungAmbitionYA2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jim. Both are soft wash hoses. Hose size is all personal preference. Some like 1/2 some like bigger. I'm currently using 5/8 kuritech. It's nice paired with a flojet 6gpm

Another great video. Maybe i missed it, but did you pre treat the trex? Or just pressure?
@YoungAmbitionYA2 жыл бұрын
Just pressure. Pretreatment with SH can be a help too and a fine option. Same with concrete

i know you have mentioned that you do not use surfactant for house washes , im wondering how much time you save considering , quick rinsing , but do you have to do multiple coats on a dirty house ? or at that point do you use some surfactant?
@YoungAmbitionYA2 жыл бұрын
The soap doesn't do any cleaning. It's just sticky and pulls debris and crap to the ground easier. SH does all the work with the mold and algae. I spray sh on and let it dwell for 1 minute and rinse. It's a little quicker since the sh rinses much easier than soap. Using soap is fine I just choose not to at the moment
@danglestache20192 жыл бұрын
@@YoungAmbitionYA yea I’ve always been using surfactant for house washing , gunna try without to see how fast I can rinse lol
@mr.doitall2 жыл бұрын
Great video bro! I can appreciate the hustle. As someone previously commented I’d like to see how you prep before spraying chem. I know some use tyvek to cover plants & some who never cover plants & instead just water everything before, during & after. The thought of both scare me a bit. If you cover for too long you can kill the plants & certain plants I know will burn/die if our SH even touches it. I get a bit nervous with like rose beds or sensitive plants thatre right up on the house. Especially since I’m a one man show like you lol
@YoungAmbitionYA2 жыл бұрын
Hey Kellen. Make sure your blend is good. Never more than 3% on a siding wash and you'll be OK. 2.5% is usually perfect. Wet plants first then rinse thoroughly while you rinse the house. No big deal. I never cover plants

Those size houses would have taken me twice as much time and that’s rinsing with a 5 gpm pressure washer. I’m obviously adding unnecessary steps. Could you video a house wash beginning to end. I’d come spend a day with you if you weren’t so far away. Thanks.
@YoungAmbitionYA2 жыл бұрын
Practice makes perfect. I've had a few hundred washes to help me trim the fat. Routine is everything. I do believe I have a handful of full washes on my channel. Check them out. I'll try to do a newer one this season

Awesome videos and such a fast process as always !! I’m still also trying to figure out the best way to rinse/pre wet the planets . Pull out the pw hose and use that then jumping to my 12v but it’s taking forever lol. Are you running a 7gpm pump for your 12v and was it a delvan is the name ? Sorry again to be long winded
@YoungAmbitionYA2 жыл бұрын
All good Jeff. I use a flojet 6gpm. Make sure you mix is under 3% and rinse plants. Plants will be fine

Grab you an 18-24” lance to pop on your gun so you don’t have to bend over so much; save that back! May also work with the 12v for added reach if needed. Definitely agree with 3% dwell and rinse ( I use xjet m-5ds to rinse). Nice work on the 4 bangers too! Oh and a Balaclava for your face! 😊
@YoungAmbitionYA2 жыл бұрын
Yes I need a face mask for windy days. I have a Lance on the truck. I find it's easier to cause damage with the turbo nozzle on pained wood like the house siding and railing here. Bending over and holding the gun in my opinion gives me more control and no damage. I use the Lance on paver and concrete
@tomuzagregv.83002 жыл бұрын
That make total sense👍 I’m an ole’ guy with bad disc so that bending over can get kinda tough quick for me. 😁
