Honestly, I'd rather them not to that. Kpop industry, as an entertainment industry should be debuting talented idols instead of debuting sub par idols who are good looking. I mean, if they only pick the pretty ones instead of those who can actually sing, then everyone can become idols. A lot of trainees quit on their dream because of the high standards, some trainees stay in a company for 7 to 10 years but still can't debut because they couldn't reach the standards

For example, this year in The Show she was straining soo hard everytime a slightly higher note came in, and even tho I love her voice I couldn't stop cringing and the same happened on the OTG promotions. I dare to say that the 2019 voice was her best one (or at least, the best perfomances). Its very common in pop groups to have the management make the members with the "angelic personality" use the nasal and strained technic even tho it's a terrible one, it already happened in so many groups and is such a popular take that I imagine that it's Rosé's case.

Rosé had a heavy voice before training which was definately beautiful and still her voice is good but yg made her voice in some a little like a shreek and also a lot of soft turn is given to her voice.. I feel like she can definitely rock in it with just a little practice of hitting high notes

Soyeon once said in an interview that she didn't want her members from (G)I-DLE to go under vocal training because she didn't want them to lose their natural voices. For instance, they might polish up Minnie to sing less dreamy and more like Miyeon (who's voice is a more classic k-pop sound) or make Yuqi sing in a higher range due to her deep voice. She liked the different flavors of sounds that her members give off and uses them as instruments in her songs.

If I'm not mistaken, all members of Twice except Jeongyeon are not using their real voice. They're following JYPE technique of singing that makes some of them sometimes struggle to sing live. They can sing better if they're letting them use their real voice like what they did during sixteen.

Well, the 3MIX, Jihyo, Jeongyeon and Nayeon still have their strong voice. Chaeyoung and Mina both use their voice. That leave us Tzuyu, Momo, Sana and Dahyun. Momo, like said in the video, was forced to use a fake voice. Sana could be singing a fake nasally voice. Tzuyu have a deep voice like Mina and Jeongyeon. It left Dahyun but I don't know about her. @@congavang206 Chaeyoung does not use her real voice that often. She actually has a voice that fits R&B and they don't let her use her soulful voice often. Lately I've been hearing Nayeon and Jihyo sing with a deeper voice than normal and I love that, but that Mickey Mouse squeaky voice needs to stop in the girl groups. I still hear them sing way too high to be natural. They all cannot sound like that and it be natural. It took some time for me to figure out who is singing what parts in Twice because it sounded like they all were singing in fake voices for a while. Their music sounds more mature now. Thankfully.

Actually even if Rosé sang with her ‘’natural voice’’ she would still have the same problems and maybe worse her nasality is helping her a bit with the higher notes and if she lost that her chest voice would be the same as Jennie or Jisoo (very chesty and maybe uncontrollable) the without you duet shows that she had more tension on that B4 than she has now, pre-debut Rosé just had a better placement that’s it! But I do think that YG makes her speak/talk in a chipmunk like voice, I also think that she is forced to act all cute, etc.

I don't have a problem on Rosé's voice, on her collab with gd the without you song I can her voice low and high range there, rosie has a wide range, and it doesn't mean that when your SPEAKING VOICE IS LOW THEN YOUR SINGING VOICE WILL BE THE SAME, not all people has the same technique in singing. If she's doing it wrong for a long time then why can she still sing properly it's because she has great technique, rosie's voice has a natural strain and it amaze me and you can't change that and that makes her voice special & unique. It doesn't mean when she didn't hit a certain note it doesn't she's being force to change her voice! Singers has a bad day also, they are not perfect. FYI in an interview rosie said that she likes the technique that she's using. Also vocal teachers has nothing against her vocals they are amaze by her. rosie can hit low and high note, she has a wide range and that's it. Let's talk about her " Gone" do you expect her to sing high notes on that one she's aiming for a relax and calming, and emotional vibe there, emotional songs doesn't need to be belting or hitting high notes! On the Ground, yasssss her low and high range is used in there so I'm so happy. That she shows her capability on hitting both notes. On their group songs. I have nothing to say anymore that's just the way she sings Try to listen to "without you" one more time and erase the freakin forcing her voice etc.. on your minddd.... Sunny from SNSD has also talked abt how she doesn’t feel comfortable going solo bc she doesn’t like hearing her own voice since people have only expected her to sing a certain way for the past decade and a half she’s been in GG. Sunny’s actually a great vocalist (who am I kidding they all are in GG lmao) but she’s been playing the role of adding that bubbly and tight vocal color to the group for so long that I’m not even surprised she feels that way, which is super sad in itself. I’ll also mention Sulli so if anyone sees this, I hope y’all don’t act dramatic bc Jinri is literally my angel and I’m not tryna have triggering topics revolving around her in my mentions. But when she was in f(x), it was pretty obvious that she also had a specific role of being the cutesy, high pitched sub RAPPER. This made a lot of ppl bash on her bc they thought she couldn’t sing and that she was just an untalented visual which was NOT true at all if ppl actually listened to f(x) b-sides. Pretty much after she left f(x) and had more freedom to explore her hobbies and interests, she started to actually enjoy singing and dancing more. You can tell from her Goblin EP that she has an amazing, light and airy voice that carries well when she’s in a comfortable range and genre. Overall, the kpop industry has a lot of systemic problems, but it also has too much of a weird obsession with “concepts.” Imo, they needa let that shit go if they want to see genuine artistry from their musicians. Although Bom and Sunny unfortunately suffer from long term damage both mentally and physically, for cases like Sulli, it really opens up their expressive and creative freedom to sing and be who they want to be. Either way, it’d be a win/win situation for idols to see themselves more positively and developing healthier vocal techniques while being true to their own craft if only these damned companies would just respect their artists and treat them like human beings.

DSP really force their idol to change their vocal. When Somin of KARD was in April, her voice was very childlike and squeaky. But after joining KARD, her voice change suddenly when she actually started to sing on her own voice. I'm happy that she is able sing with her own voice DSP also forced KARD's Jiwoo to change her vocal. Her voice is very low tone, deep and husky. If you hear their very 1st song like Oh Na Na, Hola Hola, Don't Recall you will see that her voice is a bit different that time. But then she was like f**k it, let me sing with my own voice. YG's vocal training for their main vocalists is definitely the worst out of the big 3. They have already ruined Park Bom's vocals and now they are trying to do the same to Rose😪 They only care about having a unique voice for their main vocalists and totally disregard proper singing techniques and the damage it will do to the singer's voice in the long run. When Park Bom appeared on Queendom, I was shocked to hear how hoarse she sounded and she was having such difficulties with singing throughout the whole show and couldn't sing well.. It was clear that her voice was already damaged.. I hope the best for Rose & that she doesn't go down the same road as Park Bom.
