I tried this last night. The last time I made Kimchi rice was disaster. So after, I always buy outside for the kids to enjoy. But following your recipe was amazingly a surprise to the family. Personally, it was the best kimchi I ever tasted. And everyone in my family agreed. Thank you very much. From now on, I will only cook my own Kimchi Rice. Grateful of your video. Helen, Helen. I watched video 2 days ago and I could practically taste it. I had everything to make, including the beef Dashida! It took minutes to make and it tasted as good as it looked in your video! I could not stop eating it!! There are a lot of KFR recipes out there, but yours has to be the easiest, with awesome ingredients! I will be making your kimchi soon. I can’t wait! Thanks Helen!!!😊

Just went to Korean Garden for lunch. We ordered this and we all split it. I also had Jap-chea and i loved it so much i came home and made it myself. Also make Bulgogi. My Korean son in law eats kimchi everyday so its nice to get these great recipes.❤ 9:02

I like a medium braised egg. You should give it a try! Cook one egg covered with 1 T butter and 1 T water, then remove once the top is firm. You might not get the cruspy sides, but the center is great.

Helen, can you do a video on your favorite store bought Kimchi?? I'd be interested to know all the different brands. I've made your Kimchi at my home and I haven't found any store bought Kimchi that is as good as your homemade. Even the kimchi my local Korean restaurant serves is not that good since I've made yours.

Hi, homemade kimchi is always tastier than store-bought kimchi, in my opinion. Now there are rare occasions when store-bought kimchi is as or more tasty than homemade kimchi. And usually, these are very expensive. In general, when store make kimchi to sell, they have to keep a profit margin and be mindful of the ingredients they add to keep the profit margin afloat. Also, I can't do a review on different brands of kimchi since this varies depending on where you live. For example, in LA or NYC, the brands are usually local to the area. Where do you get the extra juice. my left over Kimchi would be dry if swiped the juice from it to add to this fried rice. Oh, I made your kimchi stew this week. so good. Couldn't have been better.

U can use whatever rice but it will taste the best with Korean rice. If u can’t get Korean rice, buy the fanciest grade medium grain rice. Big supermarkets usually have medium grain white rice

A bit more sugar is also helpful to balance the heat and enhance the other flavours.

Yes, you can certainly add more sugar to make it sweeter. Personally, I do not to taste the sweetness in my Kimchi Fried Rice. I prefer to just add a small amount of sugar to round out the spiciness. Salt, dashida, and butter are more helpful in enhancing the flavors.

awful chef always uses MSG ( chemical flavour enhancer) in all her cooking. Obviously her dishes do not taste nice if she always need the enhancer which is a poison for many people

@@NN-rf6sy Hi 👋 As always prefaced in my videos, using any flavor enhancers is an optional ingredient, for those who wish to mimic the taste of restaurants. It is an industry standard that many restaurants use flavor enhancers. As you may already know, MSG is in many everyday foods (i.e. salad dressings, chips, sauces, canned foods…etc). You can use any rice but it will be the tastiest with Korean rice. If you can’t get Korean rice, use fancy grade medium grain rice. Big supermarkets usually sell white medium grain rice.
