It’s a quick release. I teach kids by looking at mackinnon’s release. The way your saying is right but it’s the timing and milliseconds you have. Different technique I use but I feel it works. :)

I feel you I was practicing today you just have to do the from one body part at a time until you can do it all together, that’s how I kinda starting getting it down, you’ll get it man ! You just have to keep going at it and don’t worry about your aim at first just light pucks up, it’s definitely a process to get them down but just be patient with yourself and you got this !

If your gliding then your not ready for another shot if it goes off a skate or shin guard, always be ready for a shot
