We also began a safety team in our church. 5 years ago. We serve God, our church, and the people attending. We are door holders and are the first smile people see when they come. We help mobility challenged people through the parking lot. We train for medical issues and have med and trauma kits as well an AED available and are trained in their usage. While doing this, we are also visible and wear lanyard hi viz cards and are responsible for assessing the people entering. If we see people sitting in their cars for an extended period, we approach them with the idea of helping and offer to get them a cup of coffee or bottle of water, showing them that they have been seen, yet inviting them and serving them. We train that people are always welcome, but there is evil in our world and we are there to, hopefully prevent, or to not allow evil to enter unchallenged. Many of our team are concealed carry, all have O.C. and are trained. All done in a godly way

I was a cop in SoCal for about 20 years. Another solid video. Great advice.

We have adapted a security team within our church and have been active for over a year now, your videos have been helpful in breaking down the security risks that confront us and thank you for your concern. We have a front line of defense at the front doors and can spot out of place individuals to keep an eye on them. As the border crisis grows I have seen migrants in our area, we are in San Diego 25 miles from the border. The city of San Diego has a large homeless population and the police are driving them out of downtown and into the residential areas. These are the kind of concerns we experience here.

Good stuff. Our church has four golf carts that transport our parishioners to and from the building. Two of the carts are always driven by security team members. Hopefully we identify threats in the parking lot before they make it to the doors of our church.

Excellent!! Thank you for watching and commenting! I am glad to hear about your front line defense, that is perfect! Things unfortunately are not getting better in this country.

Great job yankee, sounds like a great plan that you have going with the carts! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Tighten up! If we stay ready, we won't have to get ready. Stay vigilant, be diligent, and have understanding of our responsibilities and the requirements of our duties. ✝️🇺🇲👍

God bless you! Will be sharing with other ministries! We appreciate it! I am new to your channel. Do you have any videos on what we can do about posts on our social media pages that are inappropriate and what do we do about the people who do this? Cyberharassment is also a threat too and can escalate to violent crimes at church if we don't handle it appropriately. What suggestions do you have about this? Thank you again for your videos and training! We appreciate it!

Thanks for watching and commenting.....as far as social posts I delete anything that is not appropriate for our church page. As far as the people posting, there sadly is not much that you can do these days that I am aware of. We just have to work to be on a constant watch for problems at our church!

I have been to churches that are relatively small congregation but big building & will have various doors open while services are going. No security. Doors to nurseries open. It blows my mind.

Hey Potluck! You and me both, I am amazed that there are still a large number of churches not working to apply safety and security techniques! Thanks for leaving us a comment!

My number one thing that I see, overall: a lack of proactive, “left of bang”, security mindset/measures. Too often, church security groups model themselves (and take advice from) after L.E. agencies and are FAR too focused on a purely response-based mindset.

Major comments I hear about these videos; too many ‘words’. A bit less talking with more to the point. Just sayin

I disagree. Just hitting the highlights on the power point never covers all you need when you watch a presentation. You miss a lot if you just follow an outline. I think this fellow does a fantastic job in his presentations. Keep up the good work!
