Fabulous makes as usual. As for the swim style top - Ripper Seams had the same problem with the neck line so maybe a pattern not fabric problems. I love the Russian pattern companies. They have some beautiful designs- I’m in the middle of making the Lisa blouse from Viki Sews. Love the fit and the instructions are detailed.

Really enjoying your videos. I'm in New Zealand and sewing a new look pattern at the moment., After watching your first part I also signed onto the Joli lab subscription and brought 6 patterns as well. So my next project is the Nymphea dress, I was looking for the perfect pattern for my fabric and that's it. Thanks for the really great info

Lovely collection 😍. I too was inspired by Sarah 😊 on the Swim Style Andi top and skirt which I’ve printed the pattern for but I’m yet to make, so it’s great to see that you like it too. Love the seagull sounds. I keep wondering if it’s on your video or here at home 🤣

Cara, I so look forward to your Sunday videos so I can 'chat' with you. I hope all is well in your world with everyone healthy and home again. The first adorable dress you made by the Russian pattern company reminds me so much of the new Notches Kaiko Top & Dress that was featured on this morning's The Fold Line. It looks lovely and breezy on you. The Lexi dress isn't one I've come across before but it is such a flattering dress. Maybe you can make another one out of a viscose jersey for your trip. Very breathable. I just love viscose jersey. On Friday I cut out my first Saguaro Set pattern and can't wait to have some flowy pants myself. Your Grenadine skirt looks great! I also made my first one as a wearable toile in a deep purple jacquard. Hmm then I think I went a little crazy designing the next 2. First a denim with cherries on it - and wait for it - instead of piping I put in a zipper! The 3rd one is out of a peach gaberdine stretch suiting and on the bottom panel I added a fun faux leather panel with little shapes hanging off of it. That was a challenge and the panel is quit delicate. But it was also peach colored so I just went for it. I didn't include the lining in any of mine either. Lol, who has time for linings in skirts I will wear in the summer! I also made another Salto shirt in red viscose linen to go with the cherry skirt. And I've moved on the my first Cicadella blouse for my purple skirt. I'll never catch up to your sewing stardom standards, but I am loving all of these new outfits. Thanks Cara for always providing so much inspiration and fun.

That red dress is a great colour on you and a nice style, bra straps don’t really notice and who cares as long as you’re comfortable! I quite often use bikini tops under my strappy dresses as the straps are more interesting! Black dress is great on you too. I’ve seen others having problems with the fall of the Swim Style top with the neck band worn, I think you need to really push the top of the v neck down when you have it on but I suppose it will work its way up again unless it’s stitched and if you do that it looses the versatility 😂

Thanks Nicky, I’m curious to make the top again in a linen or similar and see how it comes out then x

Ripper seams also had the same issue with that neck tie. So I think it is a pattern issue. It amazes me how prolific you are. I have so many ideas floating around in my head, I think I need to write them down and tick them off as I do them.

Beautiful dresses! I’m planning to take a look at both pattern companies. I made the Andi top and love the style too. I think the match up with trousers is a great idea. Took me a few tries to get the facings sewn together correctly so I could match them up to the exterior! My fabric was a linen type remnant so easy to top stitch the neck and shoulders so the facings didn’t peek out. Thank you for a content filled video! Commenting from US/Florida.

You have been so busy sewing, so many dresses. I have used Lakala site, very similar where you put in your measurements & the pattern is made to your shape which is in English. The red dress is similar to the Tilly’s Sky pattern which I’ve made but altered the tie straps to fixed ones. With all your makes, how many wardrobes do you have?😂🤣😂❤️

All the makes are lovely! @RipperSeams made the set with the Anti top for her contribution to the Busy Bee Challenge 2024! She also had a problem with the neckline when the neck tie was drawn up. I wonder if the fabric needs to be really soft so that the neckline falls better?

You look amazing in all of your “new to you pattern companies” makes! The red cotton fabric from India is gorgeous. Itch to Stitch just released a new free pattern called the Deba Topper. It might work for you as a little coverup with the dresses. It may be the fabric, but I wonder if you could size down the Saguaro trousers? Tropical storm Debby is heading up the west coast of Florida, so I’ll just have to stay inside and sew. Happy sewing, Cara.
