The four orcas scared us and even managed to break the rudder. Paula Mendez Fernandez helps us to better understand this amazing and recent behaviour of orcas. Thanks to her.

Some information on PELAGIS: The PELAGIS observatory collects information on marine mammals through strandings or observations at sea. It is mandated by the Ministry of Ecological Transition to study, monitor and preserve marine mammal species in France. It works for the conservation of marine birds and mammals. It is a support and research unit under the supervision of La Rochelle University and the CNRS. They support research and also carry out research using all the data collected by the observatory. About thirty people work there. These people have different specialities: strandings, accidental catches, chemical contamination, distribution and abundance of species, etc. www.observatoire-pelagis.cnrs.fr
Thank you for watching this video! Kisses
PS: I re-recorded my questions for the interview because otherwise this video would have been twice as long
PPS: we still love killer whales (even if we wouldn't like to see them again anytime soon)
