VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Sheridan is a self-proclaimed electrical nerd who converted his Promaster van into his tiny home on wheels. To begin with, he has 7 AC outlets, 4 DC outlets, 28 LED lights running on four different circuits, and four 100amp hour batteries wired into a 3000-watt inverter. There's also a 370-watt solar power mounted next to his top-of-the-line welded roof deck!
The interior has a three-burner stove/oven and a large fridge to serve his long excursions off-grid. Although he hasn't had to use the AC unit or Propex heater too much, they're both sufficient and ideally placed. In front of the seating area, Sheridan has a pocket door that folds down into a table perfectly suited for work or dining. Measuring in at 6'1", he has no problems stretching out in his queen bed and finds the shower adequate, especially with the extendable curtain. For a traveling photographer and digital nomad, this van is well on its way to being an excellent office on wheels.

May I suggest a slide out timber bench for the centre of your garage, it gives you another outdoor space to lounge on and a handy table to work on.

Nice build, Sheridan. I like how you thought outside the box with your floor plan. Clever use of space by putting your table on the back of the sliding door. You have dedicated zones in your build so it doesn't feel like you are cooking in you bedroom.

This is one of my favorite campers. Everything laid on. Very spacious which is great for a guy his height. Not crazy about the prospect of putting so many cabinets in the bedroom and reducing his space there.

I have watched A LOT of van conversions and you’re so far as my favorite. I also have the travel bug, but since I got I’ll when I was in my 30s I had to put all my travel plans on the shelf. It makes me happy hearing you explain your experience, what you enjoy and your future plans. I hope you get to do everything you want and more!👍 I love the that you know electrical. That’s nothing “nerd” about it. It sure comes in handy for Solar Power and so many other things. Just me wishing I could be you or you may meet a short girl in the future: Since I’m 5’ 101lbs with a lot of very long hair I would opt for more water storage. I would also have to lower the bed so I can get in easily and not fall out at night.😂 I was thinking that I would add some kind of slide out on your bench table area so that could actually be a single bed or lounge/reading area…I like to read actual books. I can’t read anything long off a screen without getting a headache. I’m not criticizing I’m just living through your story, passing time. Thank you for your posting. Great Van build mate! Some great unique tips and ideas I've gleaned from your build! I'm hoping to do my own first ever build here in England in the next year or so I hope all being well, so been looking at hundreds of builds LITERALLY and this is one of the most unique layouts and some original touches like the table and slide door through to the cab, also love the low battery cut off Idea to protect the battery cells, great idea! Hey bud a word to the wise. You need to invest in plastic or glass containers for your pantry items that you're keeping down below your bench. Dark and not very often visited is just a woohoo let's all go there for mice. If they haven't found those boxes of food yet they will very soon. Nice camper, enjoyed your video.

Loved your tour. That door/table and those peg/ peg boards seem like an inexpensive but very useful and attractive/ functional use of space. Love the pocket door/table and would have loved to see a more up close view on how it was done. I would paint the door portion with white epoxy paint so it could be used as a white board. And love the grid storage. Very clean looking. It was very smart of you to live in it for a bit while you figure it your storage needs.

This was so cool. Thank you, Sheridan, for sharing your history and transition from backpacking to your many ventures, AND your van tour! Very nice setup, it'll be interesting to see the changes you make as time goes on. I am a little mixed up about the shower though? Is the floor a grate that the water drains into, like a wooden grate so when you stand outside the shower (with the fold out curtain holder) the water is contained? I think that's how it works, maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong. At any rate, glad you're addicted to smoothies (so nutritious), isn't it crazy how a situation can result in something enjoyable! Thanks again for the tour!

I think it’s Natures Head not Air Head. Very nice build. Glad to hear all those lights are on a dommer. Thanks for the tip on the windows. Added them to my list of ideas for building a bus. AC is a consideration as well. That spike of power when turning on the unit has always been a concern. Especially if running it off solar. May your new home give you many years of enjoyment.
