Judging by the Tyranus fight, I don't see a Yoda or Sidious having much chance against Anakin, comparing the differences in the power displayed in their respective fights. Dooku was giving Yoda a decent fight, despite being solidly outmatched. Whereas Anakin just devastated a more powerful Dooku with complete ease. Plus Anakin already had a Yoda ~ / + feat even in Gambit Siege.

If you read some of the source books they talk about how the jedi padawan, knights and masters were only about 10-20% of the Jedi Order. It's similar to the US military where the majority of people are actually civilian contractors or enlisted personnel serving in support roles. The Force can be used to augment skill at any occupation so I can imagine that the majority of the Jedi did survive order 66 by simply avoiding obvious uses of the force.

All that is just 1 of the ways to become a Jedi master. The other way is that you have to be a hermit scavenger and be lucky enough to randomly find a lightsaber. Then it's all easy, because the force and your own will-power will teach you all the wisdom and strength needed to become the greatest Jedi alive.

@Jeffrey Foster nearly all main characters have plot armor. The test in question to pass was to use shadow illusion or something like that. Naruto used a more advanced version of the technique. His ability to use this technique make sense since the only real requirement of that technique is having massive amounts of chakra, which he had thanks to the nine tails. Shit doesn't come out of nowhere in Naruto most of the time. Only Kaguya came out of nowhere

Jaffus maximus those aren’t ranks their positions. A Sergeant could be in the infantry, armor, logistics, or medical, etc but they would still be sergeants.

She wasn't kicked out, she left voluntarily. And she became a knight BECAUSE she went through the trial. She left the order because, like eventually Anakin, she didn't like what it stood for and what it was becoming. Though so she is coming back.

@Jeffrey Scott Ahsoka survived her duel with Vader. Have you not seen the last few episodes of Season 4. Also, while yes Padme's death was the biggest factor, Ahsoka leaving also had a less effect on Anakin. Less I'll grant you, but he was still upset about it.

What I'm saying is that her leaving was something that affected Anakin and minority contributed to his distrust and eventual betrayal of the Jedi. Also, I thought Ahsoka survived before the Season 4 Mortis Arc return. We see her at the end of the Season 2 Finale.

I've got to agree here. Stunting the emotional growth of children and adolescents can lead to bad results if modern psychology has anything to say about that. If anything, Jedi and Sith philosophies mirror cults far too closely. In a universe where the Force is neither light nor dark, this is a concern. The Force should always be balanced, just like a person should be balanced. The more I think about it, the more I think both Jedi and Sith were setting themselves up for disastrous failure. Ignoring free will is essentially a fatal mistake.

I think they feared that any force sensitive children would become swayed into the dark side if left alone, so they must be taken to the temple to be trained to favor the light. The Jedi wanted to snuff out as many dark side users as they could, so training kids to suppress the emotions that fuel the dark side within them seems like the best way to accomplish that. By the point they know the younglings won't pass, they're already to old to return to family, and still remain in the order to be watched and guided. The main thought was yes, the master trained them in the force, but it was also the Masters strict responsibility to keep the relationship healthy, connective, and beneficial, but at a respectful distance as not to bond much with the Padawan. The 'suppressing any and all ties for the sake of the light' was definitely a flawed idea and tradition, something they should have phased out in some way long ago. They feared the sith and anything they believed could spawn more. I think they focused more on stopping more dark side users from coming to power than actually training and growing future Jedi in the best way.

in Legends , there is a thing called "Jedi Corps" which is more like a jedi wash up lane , in the sense that if younglings failed the criteria to be a jedi , they can be reassigned to that department. Essentially a support staff for the jedi . If i read correctly , they are all force sensitive in a way and help out the jedi and some good leaders came from that corp

You have to mention that the "grand master" is the Jedi with the most experience and wisdom and is a different title from "The master of the council" or "council master" is the leader of the Jedi which seems reasonable that they are both the same person.Also you forgot to mention the "battlemaster" which is the Jedi with the best sword skills. I don't know if it is a title or just a job denomination.Maybe you could do a video about all the different Jedi jobs aside of knights, council members, and instructors.

Sorry to point it out but you actually made a slight mistake the grand Master is just the oldest and wisest Jedi and served as leader of the high council, where there was also master of the order which was unanimously elected by the counsel and was in charge of the order. In some cases this was the same person but it could also be different people like in episode 1 Yoda was grand Master but Windu was master of the order, Yoda took master of the order when the clone wars started.

In legends it was the other way around. Grand Master was head of the entire order but Master of the order was the elected head of Jedi High Council.

It used to be that the Unknown Regions were almost entirely unmapped and unexplored, where Wild Space was mostly mapped but not fully explored or settled. Don't know why the hell Disney would change that. The Unknown Regions are UNKNOWN. It's in the goddamn name!

wolfy 975, not all force sensitive children are discovered by the Jedi or the Sith and many go on to live their lives blissfully unaware of their connection to the force. The Jedi were aware that there were thousands of force sensitive children in the galaxy but had no feasible way of keeping track of or finding them all. How exactly Palpatine escaped their notice though is unknown.

No, younglings without a master was assigned to mediacorp, basically Jedi doctors. Agricorp, basically Jedi gardeners. Or if they were very good with history or had a good memory there a Historcorp, keeping the records in history, eventually being on the Council of History, or the Council of reassignment. (the 2 smaller north towers) at the Jedi Temple. Count Dooku was originally in Agricorp when Yoda chose him to be his new Padawan.
