4 points (daily practices); 1. Physical Health Improvement (eat, move, sleep) 2. Emotional Health (elimination of toxic people, incorporate positive people) 3. Mental Health (write 10 ideas a day, could include others, monetisation, articles, other businesses, exercise the idea muscle, 10 ways you could execute the good ideas.) 4. Spiritual Health (acknowledging that you can only do the best you can, understand and forgive yourself for your short comings and work on them) Thank you so much for these videos Tom ❤️

Ellie-Marie sounds Bull!!!! Especially Spiritual Health saying things like forgive yourself for your short comings. As if it is really MINE in the first place!!! coming from people who don’t even believe that God exist. Trash talk! All of this. Advice okay? Do not say anything stupid if you don’t know what the person has been through. Do not impose your guilt by trying to cover truth with fucking LIES. Big brains, NO heart. BIg Brain NO common sense!!!

Blanche Discipulo I can see that this video has obviously triggered something within you. I have put the points from the video into a short form and in the numerical order of which it was explained in, to help people. I don’t know who you are referring to in your comments but you keep saying ‘do not do this’ and ‘do not do that’ you don’t seem to want people telling you what to do/think and yet you feel that you have the right to tell others what to do/think...? I hope you find out your source of pain and heal it as the video is made to inspire and help people, not try to tell them how to live their life. Have a great day ❤️

James Altucher comes across as you're average, normal human being doing amazing things. He's the epitome of the everyday person learning from mistakes, dealing with the hardships of life (both self inflicted and not), and moving forward. This is in no way a criticism, by the way. I think it's wonderful and indicative of why he deserves to be on this show.

It s been 3 weeks that I watch an episode a day of your videos since watching the one with Marie Forleo , liking the format and liking you as an interviewer. This is the guest I related to the most : the suicidal thoughts(I thought of making look accidental too), depression, his intellectual answers and appraoch (especially how he answered the impact question at the end) and the idea of working, creating, failing and repeating (an process of operating I m very familiar with). I m very grateful to you for inviting him and making me discover someone I relate to a lot and that I could definitely benefit from .

Great programa Impact Theory team, thank you so much! What I'm taking from it is the daily practice of asking oneself: -Fiscal health: are you moving, eating, sleeping properly/ better? -Emotional health: is the people surrounding you well intended and supportive as you should be towards them? Do you have any toxic relationship you should eliminate/limitate? - Creative Health? Are you exercising your idea muscle to get you out of the traps you have set yourself up to? Ex.: 10 ideas a day Related to: ideas in = ideas out -Spiritual health: Are you acknowledging that you are just standard and that you can't control most of the things around you? Are you doing the best way you can the things that are in your control? Have a terrific day. Thanks again!

Great guest, great talk as always. How do you pull yourself out of the matrix? After, listening to Chase Jarvis talk on Rich podcast, I wrote this, "There's Nothing Wrong" This hit me after about my 500th visit with people living with mild to extreme stress. Once, I identified with what I did as a kid and the success that came during my adolescent years and into my late 20s, it was clear as to what brought me loads of success. People came to me because, they heard about my success with a friend of theirs. The word was getting out that I could help people with what ever was stressing them. What I did was spend hours listening to their life story. Each week they would come in with what was disturbing their life. Because, I had spent so many decades living a certain way. It was clear as to what was causing their misery. So, what happens, when we live in a state of what's good for us and what's bad for us? Which is what we want to do. But, we trip over this practice and we start identifying with what's right and what's wrong, not with ourselves, but with the life around us. And what do we know about our brain and what it does best? It goes with the flow of what ever the conscious mind spends time thinking about, right? Now, if, I dive in and tackle the strongest wrong that a person is seeing as being perfectly fine. I lose them. They don't come back, but, by smoothly moving in on some little things, that aren't really issues. I can slowly move them towards that really big one. What change do thing I see in people who over months have let go of some heavy negatives? They're smiling more, their energy is up, they're doing things that they said they couldn't or will not do. Yes, we live in a matrix, reality isn't at all what we see, to know what you're truly capable of doing. You have to let go of the past. I liked whats James talked about here. Which fits really well into these 4 principles. 1. Accept everyone, everything, every situation. Which means, keep an open mind, don't judge any of it. Just let the moment happen. 2. By doing that, you will take a genuine interest in what ever is happening at the moment. There's no assuming where the moment is going, "ZERO EXPECTATIONS" Just let the moment flow, through patience, tolerance grows, this allows the moment to reveal itself. This only take 7 to 10 seconds for the moment to showing whats going on and then, you respond accordingly to it. You do something with the moment or you go to principle #3. 3. Let go, even if, you get lost in the moment, which is whats suppose to happen, once that moment has ended, its done, it over as though it never happened, forget about it, which comes to principle #4. 4. Move on, by letting go of what just happened, that experience is refined, what that means is that the brain is storing less data, than, if the mind was thinking during the experience. Too, by moving on, letting go of what just happened, sets you up for whats coming next. Your'e always prepared for what ever is coming. When, you live in this state, you are living like a Shaolin Monk, what ever your brain stored from past experiences, will come out as needed to help you with what ever you are about to take on. This happens through a process call Mushin. I want to write a book about all of this. I've been writing on this for years. People ask me, Do you have a book. Its time to write it. I like the title, The Foundation. This can be taken as a spiritual title. It can be taken as what you stand on like a buildings foundation. The question I ask you. Are you at the center of the foundation. i have discovered that many people will say, I'm at the center of my foundation, just look at how rich I am, look at how healthy I am, look at what I can do. Yet, if, I hang around with them. I will eventually, discover their weaknesses and crush them. Piss them off, break them of their element and they'll accept that poor behavior as perfectly normal. Which means, they are not at the center of The Foundation. They have created and built their foundation and its weak, it crumbles under pressure, under stress, get them wet and they fall apart. Look at the foundation like this. When, you came into this world. You were at the center of it. With each passing experience, you moved off that center, when, your mind came on line somewhere between the age of 3 and 5, your awareness to failures, the wrongs, the bads, and the other side of these. They had you sliding all over your foundation. Think about someone on death roll. They took a jack hammer to their foundation or the life around them helped push them off their foundation. They became so lost to the matrix, that they had nothing to stand on anymore. That which gave them purpose in the beginning, now serves them without meaning, the value of life isn't there anymore. At some point in their life, they flipped the wrong to right, the right to wrong and got pleasure out of it. Ultimately, they built a virtual foundation that supports their wants and needs, supports their likes and dislikes. The built a virtual foundation, created by what they believed reality to be. Isn't this what everybody's doing?

I'm pretty sure I came across his blog once from searching something that had to do with suicide and it totally made me frustrated that I didn't find stuff that supported me in suicide but I also didn't kill myself because of what he wrote. I was annoyed, but didn't die. All we need for a perfect world is more people getting a rush out of truly helping others.

Tom, thanks for bringing yet another amazing guest. I've begun internalizing all the useful stuff from your interview with James and already know what I'm gonna put into practice tomorrow morning - ideas muscle exrecise. Just letting you know your effort IS NOT LOST on us. We are crawling out of Matrix. Keep it up, man!

Here is an interesting story. I stumbled upon James Altucher's piece (I don't remember exact title): "What I have learned from playing poker". I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sufficiently impressed and intrigued, I wrote to him how I could reach him to which he re-plied in a dismissing manner: "The same way you found me online". I was pissed but somehow ended up on his emailing list. After receiving a dozen or so emails, it dawned on me that he was constantly trying to soft-sell some product or service. I got furious and promptly unsubscribed.

What a perfect easy way, I know all we can tell or write is what we experience because that’s our only truth. The fools path to saint hood. Biggest sinner turns with a experience that is so profound and it just transforms you, it’s a story meant to share.

I am a firm believer of making daily progress no matter how small, and baby steps. So I do language practice every day for languages that I want to acquire (about 5 languages or so altogether). It can be as simple as just writing one sentence per day. To some, that's a waste of time. But to me, time passes and we're gonna reach the future anyway, if we're still alive. So we have the option of whether to reach the future without any progress whatsoever being the same you now, ten years later. Or, reach the future being a little enhanced than the version you are now, no matter how small that enhancement is. I choose the latter. And I'm glad I did. I chose to pick up Arabic ten years ago. And fast forward now, I could get by an Arab country with no translators or local guide. If I didn't decide ten years ago, I would still be the same, not able to speak or understand a word of Arabic today. So now I'm working on Mandarin, Thai, French, German, Japanese and Korean. And it's little daily practice for me all the way. Can't wait for the future me.

@@MarkReese That's a tricky question for me because I like all the languages I listed, and more. Was so obsessed with Thai a couple of months back. These past few days though I love French and Mandarin :) Do you study or speak a few languages too? Which is your favourite?

James is so humble! This interview gives a real perspective on what is possible, from one extreme to the other. My best take on this one: it seems like "others" know better ... because "they are the experts" ... is total BS! I love it

i sometimes question if i'll ever be able to be a functional adult (im 18) because my emotions fluctuate so often and adversity/ failure affects me so much, and i just know that life only gets harder as an adult. Im so anxious about the future eg loss, financial issues, failing, not fulfilling my potential. Listening to this made me feel like im not alone and theres still hope regardless of the state you're in.

Exercising idea muscle is so good advice. It never occurred to me why does it take a week to come up with an "okay-ish" idea for any project. With consistent practice we can come up with better ideas in less time. This is such a powerful advice. Thanks James Thanks Tom
