We are so excited about it. We’ve been wanting a boat since we moved here and just haven’t done it, but with COVID we figured it’s the perfect way to do something and be safe! Wish it would come in. I hope we can hook up some day. You have a great vibe about you!

Thanks for this video. Here watching it on 6-18-22 because I'm about to switch to a Center Console 195 FSH Sport for 2023. Leaving my deposit even though they haven't started building or know the features yet. Going to a 19.5 foot vs my 2018 21 foot. I think the 2023 195 FSH Sport will be enough boat for me. I am looking forward to a boat with no hanging propellers as I Crappie Fish Trees... The shallow water sucking stuff up won't apply to me as I rock with a Minn Kota Ulterra I can remote drop when I'm under 3 feet. I look forward to joining you other Jet Boat owners...

Congratulations on the decision. I saw my first Yamaha FSH last weekend at the Kaneohe Sandbar. The owner said it was a 2022. Was a really sharp looking boat and very stout. Your fishing adventures should take on a whole new dimension without an exposed prop.to catch on the shallow bottoms. Boat On!

Thanks for video as someone shopping for a family boat - I rented a pontoon with the family this weekend in Lbi nj and I was hitting bottom and getting stuck in 1-2 foot water
@HawaiiJetboat4 жыл бұрын
The Jet will probably get you a little bit better than that but you must go ultra slow to keep from sucking in sand/bottom and you'll need to balance the boat fore and aft to keep both ends at same elevation in the water. Good Luck!

Awesome vid ! I’m thinking about a 250 seems like they are great choices ! I’m concerned about no head and I cabin but for the money it’s a lot of hot
@HawaiiJetboat3 жыл бұрын
Aloha, That's a super boat and that large port side locker can easily fit a portable head. A cabin would be nice but Yamahas niche is more "open boat" than cabin cruiser but I can see Yamaha expanding into that market too. The price point is also super. Too big for me out here but would be something to look at if I was on the Mainland.

Awesome video! How does it handle choppy conditions?
@HawaiiJetboat3 жыл бұрын
These boats are best with a little bit of surface chop to get air under them but with big choppy waves they are bouncy and uncomfortable until you find the sweet spot on speed. They do not cut through waves like a plow, they ride over the top. You can go through some of the other videos on the channel and find some instances where theres choppy seas. I think the video from July 4th has some wet and choppy seas. Thanks for watching and the kind words! Aloha!

Wonderful 👏. I have the same boat but am scare to go deep sea trip . Am not sure how reliable it can be with rough sea like 4ft or 5ft wave
@HawaiiJetboat4 жыл бұрын
Aloha, I think a deep sea trip is no problem for these boats. If you search KZbin you will find a few vids of these boats going out from Florida to the island of Bimini. With seas pitching 4' - 5', probably not a good idea to venture too from from land. Reliability, from an engine point of view wouldnt be a problem but the boats bilge may be overwhelmed and it's size would make it a handful for navigation.

hi, I have a 2016 AR190 and I love it, the only thing I don't like is that feels under powered, when I have 4 or less people on it it performs fine, the problem is when I got 5 or 6 adults on
@HawaiiJetboat4 жыл бұрын
Aloha, I agree. With more than 4 people it's mainly in the hole-shot take off when you get that sluggish feeling but it certainly does get moving once it's up on plane and it gets a little air under the front end.

Did you use the clean our port topside to remove the ice bag?
@HawaiiJetboat4 жыл бұрын
ABSOLUTELY! Yes that is one of the coolest things that Yamaha came up with. I also have ski's and sucking up stuff often requires limping to the beach and flipping over the ski to get at the sucked up debris and maybe removing the grate to get in tight. I have actually sucked up a floating rope off Waikiki in 30 feet of water in the SX190 and was able to get it out using a thin blade fillet knife going through that port.

Here in ft Lauderdale looking to buy one. But this is center console land and everyone e I talk to keeps giving me reasons on why not to do it despite me seeing videos knocking every theory down on how wrong they are. The latest one seems to be the cleaning of the boat compared to a center console. Not the engine but the boat itself. They say center consoles are way easier. Any thoughts?
@HawaiiJetboat4 жыл бұрын
Aloha, I would base my decision on the purpose of buying the boat. I was and am into exploring the coastline here and to enjoying parking it, socializing and swim/snorkeling and I'm not really into fishing so the Center Console was not for me plus I have fished off this boat and while it's not perfect it can be done. The reverse is true for the CC's as they are built for fishing yet can be used for socializing, exploring if you have to. My guess is that cleaning a CS is easier (no carpet and cushions) but I can say that after almost 3 years the non-skid non-carpeted section on my swim platform is showing the wear and maybe a whole lot more non skid area on a CC might also show the wear vs carpet/cushion. My last suggestion is to go stand in both types. The CS will feel like an operating room and the others will feel like your living room. Good Luck

Yamaha has a good center console 190 fsh. But I believe the 2021s are going to have more model options and another size center console.
@mikeysmiles96484 жыл бұрын
Great video thanks for sharing. I live on Maui and was looking at the SX190 2020. You reckon this boat would be ok for day trips to Lanai (16 miles roundtrip)? There aren't many jet boats owners who I can talk to. So people are trying to push me to buy an outboard motor boat. But I like the Yamaha. Btw - I'm a first time boat owner too.
@HawaiiJetboat4 жыл бұрын
Aloha, Oh yeah, piece of cake 16 miles and you'll do it comfortably in the Yami'. The Inline 4 pumps out 180 hp and is pretty miserly on fuel (the CA model has a 4 star energy rating). That trip to Lanai sounds really cool, I've met some other boaters who've gone out from Oahu to Molokai and say it's no big deal under the right weather but I'd like to meet up with some others who are going over rather than go it solo. You'll have a blast!!! -scott

Hi . How juicy is the engine? How many miles you can go with full tank?
@HawaiiJetboat4 жыл бұрын
Aloha, Sorry to have missed your question. In truth I really dont follow mileage/gas but it is a gas sipper (the CA models are 4-Star eco-models). I usually burn a 1/4 tank per day when I'm just social boating and up to 1/2 tank when really hammering it and traveling around the coastline. -scott

how big of waves does it handle? Is it great for open water?
@HawaiiJetboat4 жыл бұрын
Aloha. That's a good question about open water. I can only answer that I take it out into the ocean sometimes up to 5 miles off shore and sometimes in-shore. It does not handle waves by cutting through them, it gets on plane and then skims the waves just like a PWC. It prefers calm water but I've taken it out in waves over my head and gone up and over them as you would on a PWC sitdown.

Motors have fuel-injection problems combined with charging and ECU harness problems. Also known for extremely weak impellers causing premature failure. Worst of all is just the ride of these boats are garbage!
