I think Jun from Jun's kitchen made a video on some tips for well behaved cats. His cats are some of the most well behaved cats I've seen and he's like the most gentle person in the world. His tips have helped me a lot with my cats.

I know you talked a lot about addictive behaviors when it comes to drugs but maybe a shroom trip? I used to be really into weed and I think a shroom trip would have offered the insight into my subconscious that I was seeking with weed.

maybe there's some way cats signal to each other when they need the other to let off that would work? some cat signal of distress maybe he gets your human signaling crossed? do they hiss in moments like that? i'm sure teasing is his love language though
