very cool I had a 1980 one for a few years they rock so much fun to ride on even 190 pounds. I also had a St90, and a CT90 Great bikes sold all of them did make a profit tho. now I have an S65, 1965 model going to get it running .. not locked up, chain on, all original white needs cosmetics

love your collection, I think your a brother from another mother! I've got the same sapphire blue K070, 2 200x trikes, 350x 3 185s and going to look at a 85 250R in the morning. not to mention 2 chevelles and a camaro! If I get the 250r, you'll see pics on 3ww.

Just got a 3 pack of 1980 ct 70s...got 2 running already...just needed new carbs (which came with the purchase) Third one has engine off...missing a few covers. Piston seems stuck. Gonna soak it like you said. $1500 for all 3 and the new carbs.🙂

How do you know if the timing not out by 360 degrees @ the cam gear ?

@@jeffmullinix7916 on that engine the flywheel only goes on 1 way and the cam timing mark is a notch in the case.

Thanks for your reply . The cam sprocket can be installed at 360 out to the flywheel . I am not saying your nice CT70 is but I think my SL70 could be . I got the bike with a missing head . Rebuild the engine my self but How would I know ifor how can I check to know if I have it 360 out or can that happen if I am thinking right . Thanks for your help .

One major reason why they lasted so long that you forgot to mention is made in Japan. Japanese skilled labor! When it's made elsewhere it is not as good and that goes for any country including America. Japanese are highly educated hard-working and disciplined and we don't have that here that's why you see made in Japan being quality just like you see made in Germany being quality. Their society takes everything more serious than we do here.
