You won't regret it! I was a long time Logic user and bought S1 Artist, it's plenty for most work when you get to pro there's tons more but you don't need pro to make great tracks. Get the free version to play around with.

I was doing some playing with an EQ I thought I wasn't hearing any changes because my brain wasn't registering the changes from mixing for a long period of time so I took a 10 min break came back and then realized it was being bypassed the whole time. So don't feel bad 😅. and I appreciate that last tip I needed to learn how to do that For many reasons

Joe, thanks so much for all your wonderful lessons, as I have gotten to know and use my S1 over the past two years. Isn't another method (though tedious) to go into the Melodyne for the vocal track and, one, by one, reduce the volume of the offending sibilant?
@mcneillmama503 жыл бұрын
I found a multiband dynamics plug in in Presonus Studio 1 Artist under the mixing category in the drop down menu under de-esser?

Wow. I wasn't aware of the clip gain feature. That will make a difference for me. Now if I can just get the voice wavering out of key under control.

Hello Joe can you answer how do you work when studio one clicks and crackling constantly because of to a broken delay in version 5 ? is it comfortable for you?

It’s mind blowing asf that they continue to say they don’t have a de-esser When it’s literally in the mixing pull down tab & it doesn’t work how it’s supposed to lol

Actually I rescind my comment I wasn’t using it properly This video was very informative tho - thank you 🤞🏾

I’m guessing this video was posted before Studio One included the de-esser plugin. Are there pros to taking these more manual approaches towards de-essing? Sometimes I like opting for a manual approach if it means the outcome will be more subtle.
@roylevi23103 жыл бұрын
nice video man,i think studio one needs a de-esser plugin still
@orryfishburne53263 жыл бұрын
I wonder how using this de-essing approach work on guitar? My guitar has this harsh "bite" around 3-4k and every time i try to eq it out, even with a narrow Q, it takes out too much, i cant find that right balance, so maybe using that side chained compression technique will do the trick.

If you set up a compressor to listen to only the high-frequencies, yes. But that's the only way

I just switched to Studio one and.... I'm having this problem like whenever i play in between any note the midi stops playing until the next note appears. I make orchestral music so there are really long bars of a single chords and notes so it really stinks to go all the way back to start of those notes/chords to hear a playback! I dont know if its just me. Is there a setting im missing?
