Awesome video, I work in the oldest running coal mine in Australia, 131 yrs old this year, and is awesome walking around in there and seeing dozens of the old original wooden mine carts that were pushed on the rails and all the old equipment used, amazing bit of history

Gorgeous scenery as usual. Thanks for not being formulaic and hyping up the serious nature of the damage with elevated music and hyperbole. Handle it like a normal man, this is the situation, this is how I solve it. Thanks for sharing.

What a top series! Lucky you made it home on one wheel drive. Good end result but i can imagine how it put a damper on the trip for everyone. Loved this series especially as i'm heading to the Flinders Ranges at Easter for the first time and i'm pumped. Keep'em coming Ronny!!

Ronny - thoroughly impressed with theis series and it was really inspiring to see SA get put on display in this way. Many tourism programs will only show a snippet or a 15-minute feature, but I feel these 6-part series really allowed myself as a viewer, to get lost in the adventure with your crew. As a South Aussie, I've still not been to the Flinders Ranges, but only 3-weeks ago bought our first 4x4 and so no doubt this will be on the list (though we may opt for some of the more moderate tracks until we find out feet). I've been educating myself as much as possible and loading up on a lot of your older vids, along with some of the more popular guys doing their shows out there, and I'm really grateful that there is so much honest information out there that you guys are willing to share with the public. I missed out catching you and the crew at the recent 4x4/Camping show in rads, but will be sure to put the next one in the calendar. Keep the videos coming, love it!

P.S. I should add my first mods were all recovery and based on safety: snatch straps, bridle, soft-shackles, dampener, pressure gauge and compressor, tred pros, and the rear tow-bar winch point (your tow-ball warning vids were heard loud and clear). My wife is in control of the first-aid kit and after all that I still had a little left over for some nice goodies for extra storage and light. But I want to stress how much your videos on safety and recovery have resonated with an inexperienced 4x4er like myself. While it may sound naive, I at least feel I have much more of a clue on what to do when I get off-road, compared to those who just drive a new fourbie out the showroom with having given a thought to researching the process.

another good series. if you enjoy mines so much, next time you are in SA check out the gold mines at Waulkaringa about 27 ks north of Yunta. there is a ruin of an old pub there and a chimney plus a lot of disused gold mines across the back of the hills behind the chimney. if you take the right mine you can go all the way down until you hit the water level. well worth the detour. it is also the back way to Arkaroola which goes close to lake from and past a few old station houses.

Hi Ronny it's a bugger limping home I went from Queensland down to Victoria on a front diff and I was crapping my self all the way home, towing a trailer would have been a major stress event, but hay that's part of the fun when 4x4ing in Australia, it's not just the place you go it's the hole trip the good and bad bits make each trip a fun

Do you take any safety precautions when entering a deserted mine like that? For example, I'd say to always leave someone outside in case of emergency, he/she can seek assistance. Maybe also take water/food packet with when entering for survival in case.

You need to get rabies shots everytime you're struck by a bat, especially if it's in the eye or if it breaks the skin. But seeing that this happened more than a year ago, you are safe, as that is the maximum incubation period for rabies. Just a safety tip from a longtime follower.

So Project Black can now be turfed for a "day snacks and water" cabinet such that the trailer can stay behind in future. What is in that trailer that required it to be dragged to the mine? Wondering if understanding of the "no trailers" rules has occurred. You were fortunate Torbs didn't damage his rig dragging your brick trailer. I'd suggest the property owner was not amused.

I vote against ditching the trailer. Ronny’s channel is more about the Australian outback experience rather than hardcore 4WD. The trailer adds to the experience by having good camps and testing products. For hardcore 4WD (get bogged, unbog, repeat) we have the 4WD Action channel.
@mikehzz9848
@mikehzz9848 5 жыл бұрын
It's a cool trailer, I like it and I tow an off road trailer myself, but, I reckon steep tracks with wombat holes are always a concern where extra weight is involved. The weight of the trailer is so much more up hill than along the flat. You only have to push a car to know that. It's easy to push a car on a flat road, but try pushing it up even a slight incline. Those Flinders tracks are steep. Keep the trailer.......in camp.

Yes, but i don’t think fruit flies are the problem. It’s probably because of more serious pests that may be on fruits and food. If the quarantine has any use is a different subject though. Airplanes come and go by the thousands every hour all around the world, so if lack of quarantine would be an issue, it would have been proven long time ago.
