Here are 4 fruits that diabetics and prediabetics must not eat. Consuming these fruits is a terrible idea. The fruits are bad for your blood sugar control and will expose you to the complications of diabetes.

People with diabetes and prediabetes can eat fruits as fruits are full of nutrients that diabetics and prediabetics need. But there are certain fruits that make it metabolically unsafe for someone with diabetes and prediabetes to consume. We have fruits good for diabetes and we have fruits bad for diabetes as well. These fruits represent the 4 worst fruits for diabetics and are best avoided.

66, recently tested prediabetic, doesn't run in the family and normal bodyweight. i was putting tons of sugar in my oatmeal and coffee every morning for years. i cut out all table sugar and quickly lost over 10 pounds without trying to lose weight. the only fruit i eat is apples and blueberries.

Excellent vid, I realised early on in my diabetes that many processes fruits are heavily loaded with sugars. Many don't though I am afraid. Keep up the great vids.

They are but you have to deal with your insulin resistance by reversing it, so you can tolerate them easily. Watch my diabetes reversal video series

Thank you. I have been managing mine with diet and exercise and I set a 20-minute timer and do 4 anaerobic exercises in that 20 minutes. I do this 3 times a day.

After watching this video l went back to one of your videos about fruits low in sugar l will try these fruits Blackberries, grape fruit, raspberries, lemon, Avocado, strawberries, kiwi and limes. Dates and raisins are okay when eaten with other fiber rich foods like oats so long as you don't overdo it. The problem with dried apricots, dried bananas and dried mangoes is people eat them on their own as snacks and sometimes with another sugary drink to "flush" them down. Therein lies the challenge for your pancreas

I like to eat the dried fruit with nuts and seeds as a snack when Hungary. Easy to take with you and like a homemade granola. Sometimes I add a few M and Ms dark chocolate because , well, it’s fun and won’t melt in your to go snack! . But, make sure you read the labels so that dried fruit has no or very little sugar is added.

Liz, all 3 conditions are a continuum. But it all starts with insulin resistance which progresses to prediabetes and eventually diabetes. Meaning all prediabetics and diabetics (type 2) are insulin resistant

For those still struggling with their blood sugar, they may struggle with prunes but it's got fiber though. My drive lately is to move people away from daily management of diabetes to actually living without diabetes in which they never have to worry about avoiding any healthy carbohydrate foods any longer. People should eat carbs without looking over their shoulder is my aim

Everything he says not to eat , I eat by the truckloads, especially in the summer . I am type 2 diabetic and my A1c is fine . Everybody is different. Just because I can do it , doesn't mean others can . But I do stay away from sodas, any kind of juice , sugar . I do eat canned fruits, but not often . Like I said , everybody's different.

Dr Joe, perhaps u can enlighten me .i stand corrected . I think HbAc1 reading with Metformin and without Metformin medication should be considered or viewed differently

@@joanneho2693 Yes you should view them differently. One result is with 'help for your blood sugar' and the other is 'without help for your blood sugar' so long as there is at least 3 months time interval between them

As a diabetic I don't drink juices eat dried fruit.Yet I see children drinking these juices.I do eat mango, bananas watermelon in small amount because these are available on my island.

To be honest, No. But there is a trick to eating fruits with diabetes and I shall do a video on how you can introduce fruits as a diabetic

Medicine profit fm big pharma. I am a RN, very seldom Drs have time to teach/educate bc of their patient appts (no excuses). It would be great for Dr or nurses to educate but time does not permit. To be honest, we must be our own advocate above our healthcare providers. Bf I take any medication that is prescribed I research to see the benefits and side efects and make my decision. Most Drs will write perscription as long as you show up but will seldom educate you. This is mainly how they thrive...you must be engaged in your own healthcare. The internet/YT has helped us tremendously❤.

Apple juice will always be unsweetened anyway. I'll be surprised if some food manufacturer wants to add some more sugar to apple juice. If you are diabetic, having apple juice will deliver too much sugar too quickly for your pancreas and liver to deal with, so not advisable to do that. Bananas are fine. Eat the whole fresh fruit, not the juice, not the dried version

I was going to buy some coconut water the other day, and one of the ingredients was added sugar. So I didn’t purchase would you consider the carbonated waters that have fruit flavor without sugar? OK to drink? They usually have some type of artificial sugar.

That would be fine so long as the sweetener used is not acesulfame, aspartame or sucralose

Dr what is the difference between Hba1c and glucose tolerance test. I have been doing my Hba1c test and it was okay but my GTT is high. Why was that?

Hba1c gives you what your average blood sugar has been in the last 90 days and GTT is an on the spot glucose challenge test

I am not a doctor but a certified health coach. The cells are resistant to insulin bcos of fat. If you really want to control your blood sugar, stop ouls and fatty foods and switch to whole fruits and veggies. My mum of 74years was diabetic for 21years till i got to know this information. We changed her eating lifestyle to WFPB, she is now enjoying all fruits without spiking her blood sugar and her blood sugar is now ok without any drug only whole fruits, veggies and whole grains.

Hi Dr Joe, My dr wants me to take baby aspirin everyday to thin the blood. . This cause ringing in my ears. Should i stop aspirin and eat garlic, ginger instead? What should i do? Thank you.

I really cannot advise you here on KZbin as to whether you should ditch your prescription pill. That's a decision that you make between you and your doctor. He knows your medical history better than I do. Sorry about that

No, cholesterol has nothing to do with your halitosis problem. The main cause of halitosis is poor oral hygiene. Cleaning your teeth properly helps a huge deal - the front, the back and add flossing to clean between the teeth and you should be fine. You may also reduce your meat consumption too
