I know Traffic purists dislike the BS&T version, but this one was the first I'd ever heard (back in the day), and it still is the way I hear it in my mind. Love David Clayton Thomas' pure vocal.

Cassidy played with them during this particular period but make no mistake. It was David Clayton Thomas & Fred Lipsius that arranged this song period. And when I saw them in 2004 frankly I like the original trumpet solo. They were awesome on this song, it literally broke out the goosebumps. Took me back a long way. They definately did Winwood and Capaldi (who co-wrote it) justice in 70' with their rendition.

40 000 HEADMEN skladba skupiny Blood Sweat and Tears pôvodne z albumu B S and T 3, ktorý bol v rebríčku Billboardu 41 týždňov od 18. júla 1970 z toho 11 v TOP 10 a dva týždne na vrchole od 8. augusta 1970, kedy sa striedal z albumami Woodstock a Cosmo´s Factory od skupiny Creedence Clearwater Revival..Od RIAA získal za predaj zlatú platňu. Autorom skladby skupiny Traffic boli Steve Winwood a Jim Capaldi, ktorý žiaľ v roku 2005 ako 60 ročný zomrel na rakovinu žalúdka.Pozoruhodné na tejto skladbe je to, že v aranžmá Fred Lipsius a Boby Colomby obohatili skladbu o variacie zo skladieb Belu Bartóka balada z maďarských ľudových piesni,z Lieutenant Kije Suite od Sergeja Prokofieva, I Mean You od Theloniousa Monka a Etude For Lew And Zoloff od Freda Lewisa. Záznam je z vystupenia na Jazz Festivele v Montreale v júli 2006. V skupine zo zostavy, ktorá v roku 1980 nahrala album NUCLEAR BLUES boli na podiu bývalý člen Rob McConnell and The Boss Brass Bruce Cassidy a Vernon Dorge alt soprán saxofon a flauta. Novú úpravu skladby uskutočnil Bruce Cassidy.
