40 Alligator Snapping Turtles Reintroduced to Kansas

Found a baby near death in our pool recently. She’s hunting minnows like crazy and has doubled in size the past few weeks. We plan to release her this spring when she gets some size to her.

I have watched the video.But whether dams will hinder these reintroduction ast to get gene exchange with ast population in other states like OK,and make these reintroduction population became a new species(like suwannee ast) in Kansas?
