The one who fabricates his lineage is admitting that he is insecure about who he really is. It's common in the Subcontinent to falsely claim to be a Sayyid or Turk or Afghan or Rajput. And it's also common to see people boast about their lineages. May Allāh guide all of these foolish people. They only exacerbate this serious problem.
