it'd be cool to have a game where you have to grow your own genestealer cult on a hive world, or maybe you could choose the type of world you start on, and that impacts the way you grow and the challenges you face. I imagine the early game would be all about remaining undetected and subterfuge and then later in the game it would be all-out warfare. damn, if I knew how to code I'd make some kickass games.

Not to mention they're imortal. Who knows the extent of their capabilities. Again it's just a theory man. Chill tf out.

@@hooked1173 I knew this is just a theory, but I was just saying this theory makes no sense. The old one was forced out of milkyway Galaxy. And Tyranids is far stronger than anything ever, to the point that only necron stands a chance (mainly because necron is non bio form). If the old one created Tyranids, I'm certain they will be the first one to be completely consumed by Tyranids.

@@GuitarsRockForever I doubt it. I bet ancient humanity (which I can assume was no where near advanced as the old ones) could use their men of iron to wipe the floor with the tyranids. Nothing could touch the old ones until the Necrontyr used cheats against the old ones.

The current iteration of tyranids are definitely a ripoff of the later iterations of Zerg, old tyranids look nothing like current Zerg, if you follow the timeline games workshop definitely got surpassed with the coolness of their alien race, and decided to start borrowing pretty heavily from the far more successful starcraft version

Actually the Tyranids dont look like the Zerg. The Zerg look like the Tyranids. Starcraft is a 40K knockoff. But Blizzard wont admit that.

Depends how soon was the cult was found and destroyed, if a psychic signal was allready sent fleet arrival is almost certain.

My head canon is that the Tyranids are a creation of a vengeful old one. After his people had been nearly wiped out by some of the younger races in the galaxy, and further devastated by the emergence of chaos, he created the Tyranids as a final act of destruction on the galaxy for his people. After all, the Old Ones are one of the few races we know of that are truly capable of trans-galactic travel, and the tyranids are coming from outside the galaxy on multiple sides, which would be easily achieved by an Old One. Further, the Tyranids are perfect for getting revenge on younger races. They not only can shred any army, often recovering their fallen to just create new soldiers, but they strip planets of air and water, something that would even hamper the necrons. They seek out everything and destroy it all, a perfect bit of revenge. And the fact that these creatures not only don't feel the affect of chaos, but can't even worship it and can actively negate psychic powers means they make a fantastic counter to the forces of chaos. They present a near-perfect solution for destroying the taint of chaos in the galaxy and sealing the chaos gods away

I know that they are an alien ripoff so that’s why they are crawling around destroyed space hulks but that doesn’t really make sense for what we know about tyrannids I mean they are spreading not just surviving so why not go somewhere with biomass instead of a dead space hulk?
