Without giving too much away, a Custodian comments on the Primaris Marine vs the original Astartes: he says they’re tougher, but they are still no match for a Custodian. There’s a particular scene that reveals this.

@@michaelspears5121 To add on to this for others without spoilers: less than 5 Custodes just reamed through dozens of mixed Primaris/Astartes. Custodes are larger than Primaris. Their creation is easily an order of magnitude more advanced than even the Primaris (imagine if Cawl figured out how to create Custodes and spent the last 10k years doing that...). Their armor and weapons are still superior. They perceive and move faster than Primaris. Custodes are far closer to Primarchs than they are to Primaris, in terms of combat ability.

A spacehulk is a series of ships and other debries warped together during countless years - traveling the warp randomly jumping back into space and into systems.. a battlebarg is ship that is usually captained by Space Marines - most of the time being their flagship .... completely different thing...

Most definitely give it a watch, but before that try to check the "basics", so (two years later) you know or least have heard main points of the lore. I suggest you give the Arch Warhammer channel a watch. Watch his lore videos and you have the basics needed to understand most of the nuances and inside jokes in TTS series and hence can enjoy its on the fullest. :D Also you are then really lucky, cause by then Kitten has probably got back from Mars and you dont have to wait for the new episodes of hyped main plot to be published like rest of us have to.

Technically they can tell an inquisitor get fucked, they take their orders only from the Emperor. Valoris reluctantly took the position as a high lord to ensure the right action was taken on a certain matter, prior to that they were above the politics of the imperium. Totally different to the grey knights, both are very very cool

? My wife wants to know why woman aren't made into Astartes ? The SoB's, as she dubs them, can be, and in her army, are, in extreme, formidable. But, if, she can elevate them to the level of Astartes, standard or (preferably) Primus, they would be boss. Granted, she has a bad ass army using models from Raging Heros, but this would make her unbearable. Please give us (me) a good answer that will keep her ego in check. She's an awesome woman, a bit strong willed and stubborn at times though. I get the Emperor would of known the strength of woman, how they are more organized, follow orders better, have a higher threshold for pain, how they don't scare as easily (not sure where she came up with all these, so called facts, but...), if I was a total dick (as she sometimes claims) I'd punch her in the gut to test her "thershold" and tell her to shut her mouth or I'll do it again to see how easily she scares, and how well she is at following orders! Best and worse thing I ever did was introduce her to WH40k. She's meticulous, devious, insightfully, spontaneous, and (though it grinds my gears to admit it) quite an accomplished and lauded player in our circle of friends and associates. ​ Izzo 1220 , Your reply informs me that you are educated on this matter but in case others reading this are not.... Unfortunately, thanks to a marketing ploy in the 1960's, we ended up with the concept of 'gender specific' toys. Game Workshop simply listened to marketing firms that told them they had to gear their toys towards males if they ever wanted to turn a profit. As the lore exists only to sell additional models, just like 90's cartoons existed to sell plastic toys to kids, it isn't surprising that it mirrors what marketing was telling them: If you want to make money, you have to make the boys imagine themselves as these Space Marines.... Even the 'make your own chapter' rules are there to sell this concept. On that note, I would encourage your wife to take the initiative and find as many female compatible models that she can. These could even be self designed and 3D-printed, sure some will complain cause they lack the 'game workshop' stamp but most are impressed with the skill of the community. Then it is a simple matter to state they are a secretive daughter chapter of whatever faction she plays, as per the rules allowing for such, who have successfully taken in female candidates for any number of plausible reasons. The only way to change the lore is to show people the alternative.
