@bittergunowner1210 жыл бұрын
Daniel Craig is an excellent James Bond. Hes not a super hero, but more a human being and an anti hero which is a far more realistic adapation from Ian Flemings. The reason people think Quantam of Solace is looked down on is because it is a direct sequel to Casino Royale, one of the best Bond films ever made. There is no way it could have been as good. Not to mention the writers strike nearly ended production of QoS. Could the dialogue and director have been better? Yes Was Another Way to Die terrible? Yes. But considering the situation QoS managed to be a decent Bond film. Ask yourself this. Would you rather watch Die Another Day, Moonraker, Diamonds are Forever or On Her Majestys Secret Service?
@TheGore102110 жыл бұрын
I can tell he is, but thank god he's got two Bond movies that are a masterpiece (CR & SF) so far, his next Bond movie became announced that it's being a connection and sequel to Skyfall by continuing and finishing the story of Skyfall by having Skyfall tie into his next movie, cause they didn't finish the story of Skyfall, so they were saying that it's going to complete a "number of stories" and make a part 2 of Skyfall.
@bittergunowner1210 жыл бұрын
Then this next movie will be receive mixed reviews, QoS did the same thing with CS.
@NowhereNarrative9 жыл бұрын
bittergunowner12 Actually QoS biggest issue was that it was mid writers strike, so Craig and the director Marc Forster had to try and develop it from a bare bones concept script. Craig admitted that he and Forster weren't really writers and it hurt the film.

bittergunowner12 About "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". To me that's the 2nd best bond film of all time (Casino Royale being first). I don't care about what people think of Lazenby, his Action Stunts were superior than Moore or Connery, he was fine. The Script was really amazing, the Storyline, while questionable at some points, to me it remains up there along with Casino Royale, The Living Daylights and From Russia with Love. And hands down the most shocking and memorable ending out of all the 23 movies. Yes I rather watch this film than QoS any day. About QoS though, I think that it was fine. It could have been a lot better, it was really down to earth (no pun intended) with the story, but the characters of Greene and Medrano were underwritten, the writer's strike feels all over. I was excited on how the story was going to follow from there. It was a little disappointing for me that all that was dropped in Skyfall (Movie still great). And QoS has one of the best Bond girls IMO.

Daniel is my favorite Bond...I know a lot of people say Sean is the best cause he was the best actor and was the original, but Craig portrays the real Bond, he's your average guy (handsome, but rugged, has that look of a guy who's been through hell and he looks depressed) and in my opinion he has the best lines of all the Bonds and he shows real emotion, but also shows a sense of duty
@DarthAbyss3164 жыл бұрын
That whole “you dun scratched my balls” exchange with Le Chiffre made me howl with laughter. Gotta love that stiff upper lip sense of British humour Bond uses in the face of certain death. I’m half English so I can very much appreciate how Bond is mocking Le Chiffre because Le Chiffre knows there’s no way in hell that he’s gonna get the password from 007. It’s the ultimate “fuck you” to Le Chiffre because Bond is pretty much dead the moment after he gives up the password.
@robertosheldon90615 жыл бұрын
Some ppl say he's not good looking enough to be James Bond. Or that he's too emotional in that particular role and I heard other criticism as well. I, however, have a completly different opinion. Im a hetero male, but I think he's very good looking and his interpretation of Bond is unique and fantastic. Awesome skill as an actor and over the top charismatic. To Mr Craig: 10 out of 10. Keep doing it just the way you have been doing it if there actually will be another 007 movie with him. Very very good. Much respect from Germany.

Objectify women? These movies objectify men MUCH more. Sure, there are A few women in each one who could be credited as "pretty girl," because they have no lines and they are on film JUST for their looks, but there are ten times as many men in each Bond film that could be credited as "man who gets shot," and each one has no lines and no name and they're there just to be killed... Like A piece of meat.

I thought quantum was incredibly underrated. The most telling line was when M mentions that Dominic Greene was found with a can of motor oil in his stomach and 2 bullets in the back of his head. Bond left the motor oil, but who shot him remains a mystery....alluding further to a secret organization like Spectre. Mr White's involvement in the film to me is the most intriguing one. He gets captured by MI6 and literally within minutes people are trying to recover him and within hours they succeed. Mr. White also acted as eyes for Spectre when things went south at the opera scene. They're consistently tying up loose ends as ended as the case with Dominic Greene. Then Skyfall went into a completely different direction.
@SkiDaBird9 жыл бұрын
Greene was shot by Quantum. It's pretty heavily implied when 007 leaves him there. Quantum was created because MGM lacked rights to Spectre, so they will very likely be either a precursor organization, with Spectre rising from their ashes, or part of Spectre now that MGM has the rights for Spectre.

For those confused, he called her back into the bedroom with him in hopes of "finding the stationary". Of course, he meant he wanted to be alone with her. She detected the innuendo, but gave in anyway. That's why he says in the next scene, he says "you must be furious". Bond is a known lady's man, and although all the women agents assigned to him are told to be wary of his charm, most ultimately give in (with the exception of Moneypenny in "Skyfall").

Daniel Craig: 6th James Bond (2006- ) The new 21st century of retelling the origin story of the new James Bond. Craig is the perfect choice to be the professional British spy who has a good back story, obeys his command to do his orders, very strong character (jumps, kicks, punches, and man he's way too fast), and expresses his feelings between losing his true love, Vesper Lynd and the lost of M. He saves the winning from the financial terrorist, Le Chiffre, let Dominic Greene to be starve, defeated Raoul Silva to kill M at his child born Skyfall, and stops his brother to take down MI6 headquarters and the new beginning of SPECTRE. Daniel Craig is quite badass since the classic of Sean Connery which is similar.

fogito21 I don't think so. Bond really only seems out of control for the one section of Skyfall. I love the movie, but he is never challenging himself, nor is he defined by anything that happens in it. Whereas in Casino Royale, the character changes so much between each act, leading up to the climax at the end where Craig's Bond becomes defined. I actually quite enjoy all 3 Craig movies, though Quantum moved too fast, but sirpizo555 has it right.

Craig's grown on me as a Bond. He's my #2 behind Connery. Moore is #3 for me, followed by Brosnan. Brosnan was great in Goldeneye, but his other Bond outings were so-so. Not sure that was his fault, just weak movies. Just announced that Tom Hiddleston is the new James Bond. He's a very good, talented actor. Looking forward to seeing what he can do with the role.

wait is this true? I just saw that Craig has agreed for two more bond films, or hasn't decided yet on the deal.
@marybethleib82862 жыл бұрын
Heard they won’t sign a new Bond until they settle on a Producer for the “reboot”. That’s not happening until 2022. Having said that, Hiddleston could have gravitas to pull it off.
@PatrickOCnMD2 жыл бұрын
@@marybethleib8286 Hiddleston is certainly a great actor. Could be a fit, not sure he would be the best. Think Henry Cavil to me would be a bit better fit. But I am sure there could be others as well.

It will be very hard to try and adapt to a new Bond. I used to love Craig as an actor, but when I saw him announced as they new bond, i was skeptical. Not necessarily hateful, but I had no hopes. Now damn, he proved me and a lot of people so wrong. He is my favorite Bond. Ever.

The increase in the physical combat scenes obviously was a nod to the skillset that JASON BOURNE was capable of bringing to the table In his movies. Best fighting STUNTS OF ANY BOND.HE ROCKS.

To paraphrase Craig in interviews, when asked how his Bond is different from the others, he said that he was a bad guy working for the good guys.

Casino Royale is the best Bond movie ever made. Came out 15 years ago and still feels fresh AF.

It really is timeless. Later sequels feel much more dated. Good writing, acting, and directing always feel fresh.

I rewatched all of the Daniel C Bond movies and they are really unbelievably good, Connery looks a lot like Ian Fleming and his Super Agent , Craig is the only one that physically fits the role and does a great acting job of under stating ( Stiff upper lip and all)
