9:30 i would actually recommend iris+sodium. It generally updates faster, and performs better than optifine. It supports most optifine shaders. Only downside is, it doesn't come with the texture pack features, unlike optifine.

In all honesty with the spyglass now just use sodium instead of Optifine. It increases the FPS to a ridiculous degree and now in combination with Iris will also run shaders.

Plus there's a bunch of fabric mods that allow you to use zoom and dynamic lights with sodium, the only reason to use Optifine is that some texture packs only work with Optifine

Mending on my bow for sure. I have a mob farm that produces more arrows I can store anyway, and I don't often need to shoot more than 2 stacks of arrows, so I'd prefer to not go through the trouble of enchanting a new bow.

In late game you will have an ender chest with shulker in it so just need some stack of arrow in a shulker to have a big ammo stock and still it uses only 1 inventory stack

On the subject of the Cat disc, i started my first hardcore world, and 25 days in, got the cat disc. This is my first tome getting a natural disc in the game, and the first time surviving over 2 days in a world. AND, i only use a golden helmet because of the Vanilla Tweaks resource pack with the crown look on it.

Here are reasons that I can think of for doing this 0:17 if you only need one and want to save time (tho I do think no one should do this) 0:44 if you need a potion once and never again, you don't have glass, or you don't have a source of water nearby 1:28 Cauldrons? 1:57 save time and durability? 2:11 does this count for one block size "bases" 3:06 if you have 1 or 2 diamonds and the pickaxe isn't that damaged 4:02 anarchy servers say hi 4:17 people eat zombie flesh because they don't have anything else and its night 4:40 people who joined after 1.8 4:59 that's double the stairs needed 6:00 people with different opinions?

I think grian will build a storage system with shulker box unloading in this season as a surprise, he now understand redstone mechanics well but he might not show it on video because most of his fan base doesn't like redstone grian. Skeleton Spawner + Powdered Snow = Strayfarm for usual Skeleton drops and especially Slowing Arrows. Pretty good in PvP, since a single hit can help massively to secure the kill, since they have more trouble running away. And Infinity does not work with tipped arrows. That's why you may get Mending on your Bow instead of Infinity.

I choose mending on my bow because I completely maxed it out on enchantments, have an xp farm, and have two villagers who trade me 20 arrows for emeralds. Because I have a huge semi-ajtomatic carrot farm that gives me over 10 stacks of carrots to trade for emeralds each time, it just makes sense.

I regret not having my first world anymore... It was 1.7 and I had a panorama apartment with 360° window line and a farm on top. I just had to go down and were at my spawn and I made a railway from spawn to top of the mountain to reach my house easier! Back then high peaks were actually small enough to make them cozy apartments. I want to do the same for my "Join Hermitcraft hopefully one day" so I am actualy looking at seeds right now :D

Digging straight down not necessarily bad, on my server of co-workers i make small bets on digging straight down while in full gear and inventory. I've only dropped into lava like 3x out of like 50 or so times ive done it. Not saying its a good idea in general but it has paid for a few of my lunches and grian has made some diamonds from it (realistically probably lost diamonds from the ores)

1 arrow takes same inventory slot as 64 arrows. Plus infonity doesn't work with special arrows, like potion tipped or spectral and I'm pretty sure spectral arrows do more damage. Mending bows never break Infinity bows are junk I will die on this hill

most of these "do not do's", come naturally to me. my mines are always max height. It is ridiculous how many times I have found coal, iron and other valuable stones just by extending the roof (careful not to stand directly under where I am mining as things falling on your head; like lava or gravel, hurt), takes 2 extra second, but its so worth it (I disposes of all extra cobblestone into a lava block). Even in other games I can not stand a roof that's right on top of me, mine are usually 4.5 blocks high cause I tend to use slabs for floors and ceilings to resources. I have a piss poor memory so storage organization and labelling is key otherwise I can never find what I am looking for LOL. The only one I tend to be guilty of is the barely connected blocks.
