I find its amazing to see how M.O.I. has become focus of the big brands as of late. M.O.I. has been Tour Edges' "edge" for as long as I can remember. Their design philosophy revolves around it. One of the best valued brands out there with very hot hybrids and woods.

The 'big' brands have too many excuses for not keeping prices down but brands like TE and Wilson (along with some of the DTC brands) prove those excuses are just BS. I just hope they don't get greedy too, and think they can lift prices once they become more recognised for their competitive quality.

Excellent review. I was custom fit this time last year for TSR3 and couldn't be happier. If i was needing a new driver the C would be for me. TE has great clubs at a much less expensive price point.

They looked tons better aesthetically than the last couple of years. Was excited to see the moveable weight options too. I even liked the options with the C725 weights by swapping them and having the weight track on the back also besides just front and back weight positions. Definitely seems like customizing options are there for a fit. Like the custom shaft angle to the test too. Definitely seem like heads at a minimum are solid and you could maybe find another level of output. Glad the performance is there without the “buts” and conditional “ifs”. Cheers!

I'm a senior golfer. I have a Tour Edge driver, older model. I went to Club Champion to get fit for a driver. After the fitting, we kept the Tour Edge head and ordered a new shaft. The downside to Tour Edge is that they offer limited shaft options. IMO, it's important to get fit. I'll go to Club Champion this fall/winter for some new options.

Great video, Ian....the C725 is intriguing me big time !! is it good enough to displace my recently acquired Mizuno St-Max which is just a fairway finder with distance too. The TE C725 looks the real deal though and with bags of forgiveness as well.

Excited to move to the c725 from the e723. Hit more fairways with the e723 than my TM Stealth, and squeezed a little extra distance from the stock setup by tinkering with the weight and finding the right shaft for my swing. Looking forward to picking it up from my local fitter in a week or so!

Tour Edge delivers again. People seem to have pigeon holed them in the OLDER PLAYERS club slot, perhaps even in XXIO territory. Nothing could be more offensive to Tour Edge in my humble opinion. They have been making awesome products for a very long time. It seems a shame they found it necessary to jump on board the 10K band wagon, but I am no marketing expert either. Great review.

Ian - love the deep dive into the adjustable weight, the constructive critique of 10k, and picking a legitimate bang for buck brand. There are cheaper golf clubs that don't perform, but TEE clubs are a legitimate pro line brand, at a decent price. Can't wait to see what your next adventure will be!

love that they have a nice cleaner crown (very Cobra LTDx looking which is a good thing). Glad they got rid of the ridgeback design which looked like a men's thong on the crown

Ian, such a great review! I play the TE E722 driver and love it. I've found that I keep my face angle close to 0 with it. My swing speed is low (88-90 mph) and I struggle at times with spin (~3300 rpm) because my angle of attack is poor (~ -2.0). I've always considered that I need to play ultra forgiving drivers, but I'm intrigued by the C725. Due to the adjustability would love your thoughts on the C725 for a slow swing player.

I have played a number of Exotics clubs (EXS 220 3 wood, hybrids and C721 irons) when building my bag on a budget. Fantastic value. Still playing the hybrid. Would definitely consider this C725 driver! Looks awesome

To this day the exs was the best 3 hybrid I’ve ever hit I bought the ping g430 when it came out because of all the great reviews but for me I regret getting rid of that hybrid it was perfect

If your driver doesn't have the moveable weights front and back, would adding lead tape to the front bottom of the driver be an option in moving the MOI?

TE E8 Beta was a great driver for me, the combo with an aldila RIP alpha shaft was basically point and shoot.

I doubt I'll ever buy another current gen driver. I bought a brand new TM Sim2 at the beginning of the year and I'm thrilled with it. IMO, 2 gens old is the sweet spot for drivers & fairway metals.

It’s only the sweet spot for your price point. Metal woods are getting incrementally better every year, I’ve not seen any data that shows metal woods that are 2-3 years old are better.

Measurable for the best is rarely meaningful for the rest. I think sometimes guys like you forget how much better you are than almost everyone you serve.

@@davep2945 not much of what just said is actually true. In August 2000 Callaway launched the ERC 2 driver, it cost $625 USD 24 years ago. That in today’s money with inflation around 2.5% takes the price of that driver over $1100. Also we see lower gains with low hcp golfers. Mid to high handicap golfers see the biggest gains and it’s not even close, highly skilled golfers find it easier to make the club do want they want it to do.

I am glad to see these type of brands succeed in building good products. But the ping 10k max doesn’t need the adjustable weight for me. What I need is a driver that stays straight where I aim the club face at impact, it does. And I am not sacrificing any distance. I certainly greatly respect Ian’s professional opinion, but the ping 10k is a driver regular people golfers should try.

I just ask because I know pings HL version of the 10k had to be pulled from the 10k marketing because with the lighter Hl weight it was no longer 10k.

I would suggest either during intro or looking at results, you discuss not just the loft sleeve design but the standard setting specs. While you admirably disclosed this is a single axis sleeve with 8 adjustments, stating how it’s similar to the TM, what was not discussed is the Tour Edge commonly are much more upright lie than the big 4 brands. I did not look up if that has continued with their latest models but I recall demoing one in 2018 or 19 and I was really surprised how upright the club was at address. I recall it was 59.5-60* lie where most of the big brands were 58 or less. Maybe instead of describing the sleeve range as 1* upright to -2 flat, describe the actual range of say 58-61* lie.

I don’t believe you need a 10k driver with a movable weight. What ping says is true, in that as soon as you move the weight it’s no longer 10k. If you are buying a driver because you want max 10k forgiveness then why would you move the weight to make it less then 10k? At that point it’s just a marketing thing. I love that ping is so truthful to say if you want to adjust a weight buy the one that adjusts to he weight extremely if you want max 10k buy that one. I’m not going to sell you the 10k then have you move the weight because it defeats the purpose and might be a misconception among buyers that I can move the weight and have it be 10k.

Yet for 2025, Ping’s 10K driver will be the G440 Max with a 3 position CG Shifter. Somewhat ironically, people that want (or need) the 10K forgiveness also benefit from being able to move weight to assist with correcting ball flight. The lack of moveable weight is why the G430 Max 10K and Qi10 Max were considered one trick ponies by Ian and Mike. When your fitting adjustments are fewer, your ability to create a more desirable ball flight are fewer.

I agree, I would still be interested in buying a Tour Edge driver or wood because the logo is on the bottom. it looks really bad on their irons though. they gotta figure out a way to make the font look better.
