Just found your channel and wanted to say thank you. I’m 5’7” and 300lbs and 7 weeks in to BJJ so finding inspiration and help from people in my position is slim to none. Keep up the videos please!!!!

Thank you for watching and commenting! Yeah man, they don't want us in the sport! It's yours for the taking though if you want it, stick around and you'll fall in love with it. This channel is all about encouraging the big boys!

@@bjjgiant I'm about 400 pounds now haha and I've been taking some lessons in bjj it's kinda fun. I was also an offensive lineman and honestly I never thought someone like us could get into bjj. 💪All the best

Haha 😂 I wasn’t gonna say nothing, but the dude was sharp.

@@bjjgiant ha, I mean that happens. Folks sandbag. And technically that D1 wrestler who has been coming to class for six months is a white belt too. :) but you did well!

Cool! Would like to see you react to competitor vids of folks like Sergio Farnes or Seif Houmine. Huge giants at bb level.

Why did your coach mention your opponents rash guard?
@bjjgiant8 ай бұрын
I think he was saying it was a competition team rashguard. Some gyms in our area have competition class/teams for those who do it regularly. Our gym doesn't, we're all just generic BJJ students. AKA, this wasn't his first rodeo

Inertia sucks for us big dudes.
@bjjgiant Жыл бұрын
Yeah, really gotta get a better feel for that. The footwork and danger zone is a lot different from Offensive Line even though many principles translate

@@bjjgiant I started doing judo. (Gi guy) and that has made stand up way less scary and more understandable. Wrestling would help too. Head up, Feet under you That kind of thing.

He's just laying on him.

There is lots of he's laying on various hims in this video. Strategic laying is a large part of Jiu-Jitsu.

I have thought about it probably a hundred times. Help me out, what kind of content would you be interested in on there?
