I'm counting on the day after never. I used to be a Stug fan and I never thought I would stop being one but I cant see them together anymore. When I see Ste the only guy I think of now is Brendan. I guess he redeemed himself :)

Ste is regressing to how he was before Lucas being born. I won't try to convince you to like this side of Ste (even though Ste is my favorite), but after all he has been trough this change is understandble.

I do know what you mean. They've got it wrong if they think he's not being himself, and even more so if they hate him for it. I know some people don't like Ste, but I don't understand how they do that. I don't approve of everything he does, but I love him. Ste's all over the map with his state of mind and emotions and always totally convincing. Kieron's acting is hypnotic. And I'm not just biased because he's so good-looking.

Exactly and the fact is that EJS has not said he would never return so one never knows what the future holds for him or his character down the road and into the future and this is the reason he was not killed off.

Not only did Robbie lose the drugs Freddie entrusted him to sell, but Robbie is easier to bully. I don't know how Robbie is going to make enough to pay Freddie back, but assuming he does, then Robbie may as well be pragmatically mercenary and partner with Ste for now. I think Ste could underbid Freddie for Chez-Chez and still get it. After all, Cheryl and Brendan are the owners, unless the government impounded it. That's the sort of detail soaps tend to omit until the last minute or forever.

I wouldn't mind. I feel chemistry between them both, at least more than with Doug or George. It would make for an interesting twist.But love should not b involved cause it would feel a bit forced since everyone knows Ste's feelings for Brendan.

I did not mean that he was actually just aping Brendan. I actually meant he was going back to his own bad ways, which happen to look similar to Brendan's old bad ways. But since I thought it was clear that I get that, I could say adopting a persona. His persona now is similar in some respects to one of Brendan's former personae. That's all. I've said this before.Yes, he is being "bad" Ste, but is not about he being in a bad mood. This is about his character regressing to old Ste (2006-2008), back when he said he didn't feel he had "anything worth keeping". Because of how he felt he did crazy and stupid shit (stealing cars,dealing drugs, beating Amy). He is back in that mind frame now, that he doesn't have anything anymore. His life is empty and he has no will to fight to keep his head above the water.

I think Freddie respects Doug. They seem to be taking turns pushing Robbie around. Freddie and Ste are partners. Robbie is the gofer, the guy making the deliveries. It's too soon for Ste to have a new lover. He's not ready. Stendan fans aren't ready. At least, I'm not.

oh please if it wasn't for Ste currently Doug won't even be relevant. There is nothing interesting going on in Doug's life at the moment so a little mischief couldn't hurt. I wonder sometimes if its fun for Doug's fans to watch him be the supportive friend or backup plan in all of his storylines don't you guys wanna see Doug having fun or with a storyline that doesn't just consist of who he's dating?

As I said I knew you didn't mean any harm by it n I understand better now what you meant.Ste is my favorite character and,though I don't want to try make people like him,it does bother me when I see people bashing him while showing absolutelly no knowledge of anyhting that happened to him prior to 2010.Its like only reading Harry Potter last book and commenting "why is Harry so whinny?" or "Why is the loser Neville trying to be a hero?".For a fan of the character it's unnerving and annoying.

Everyone's complaining about Ste going to the dark side. Except the people explaining that Ste's just regressing to his former self. It certainly looked like Ste was enjoying adopting Brendan's bad-ass persona, but now I think Ste's intentions are clear. He's just raising cash to buy Chez-Chez. Brendan & Cheryl would probably give it to him for a kiss & a promise (not to sell drugs). But that's too easy for a soap. Clearly Freddie expects Ste to get addicted to easy money. He might. I hope not.

You're right that Freddie hasn't outwardly manifested any obvious signs of respect toward anyone. I was deducing some respect from the fact that he and Ste are partners. Instead of bashing Ste to get his drugs back, he's making Robbie pay for losing them and working in partnership with Ste. Freddie may even try to acquire Chez-Chez for himself. I certainly don't trust him. For all I know, he may even be homophobic.

Thank you for responding. Freddie is right to have his brother pay for them. Robbie lost them so it's his job to pay it back. I agree Freddie may try to acquire Chez-Chez. The way he was looking at it, that fact that it would make a good place to sell with a steady flow of customers. Freddie may just be homophobic but having grown up around certain people I know that you outwardly accept everyone because they are all customers.

Haha. I liked Doug, especially when he was going through his transformation from straight to gay and coming out, despite how difficult it was, because he was in love or at least infatuated with Ste. PJ Brennan is an excellent actor. Too bad that Doug & Ste's relationship was ultimately based on insecurity and dependency. Doug was a better Crier than Lover. When I took swimming classes as a little kid, I got a certificate that said I was a good splasher. (Better Splasher than Swimmer.)

I don't like Freddie or Robbie, but that's because I'm a good soap watcher and dislike the people we're supposed to dislike. What I find strange is how Robbie cowers from his older brother Freddie. I think it's force of habit, like Brendan with his dad. Robbie is more solidly built than Freddie, and if he had the spirit and gumption, I think he could whip Freddie's ass.

From your history of comments on Stendan I would expect you to be the last, if ever, to be all right with a new love interest for Ste. I still like him a bit, but what makes me hate him is the same reasons that I initially liked him. He was cute... well that got a bit boring really fast and then you add whiny and judgmental to his character and I think for now am gonna have to pass on Doug
