Kevin I’ve been using that same tank you have seen me with for years now. Finally had my first hiccup. The vent in the factory cap clogged with fine dust and would not empty. A handy thing to do is keep a spare. Tj and I are in the works of coming up with a vent to prevent this from happening permanently.

Great video Kevin, that was along trip on your own, that extra fuel caddy looks amazing for the big trips, we do a lot of off shore runs exploring the islands and remote beaches over here in Ireland averaging 100km(or 70miles) always having to carry extra fuel is something we are used to. We are about 12-15 skis and everyone has started to find there own way of feeding there skis , but that system would definitely make it a very easy option 👍 You really need to make it across the pond to Ireland and come with us for a long run, one of the lads is a seadoo dealer so a ski won’t be a problem 😉. We also have one of the longest rivers in Europe called the river Shannon, keep up the the great videos and ski reviews,,

Kevin, love seeing other riders doing trips like this. I circumnavigated Nova Scotia up here in Canada summer 2017 with an RXT-X 300. It was about 1000 miles of ocean riding. Took about 10 days with some weather days in there and slow riding due to high seas. Would of been great to have an Aux fuel system like that for the trip. Next, I'm hoping to get a new FX HO and circumnavigate Vancouver Island. You should join!

According to the article you burned 60 gallons to cover 440 miles which is 7,3 mpg but on the other hand the article says that the average fuel consumption was 5,5 mpg which does not match. How much fuel was in total consumed to cover the 440 miles?

Kevin, you mentioned in the accompanying article that you had previously done Old Hickory up to Cordell Hull. How far up the Cumberland River can you go? All the way to Wolf Creek Dam? I'm looking to do a super long multiday trip from Knoxville to past Nashville (I did the TN 600 several years ago but they go way too slow for me), and would like to go as far up the Cumberland as possible before having to turn around. Thanks again for all your great videos and articles...they are definitely inspiring!

Yes I ran all the way to the dam from Sanders Ferry Park, but I used every drop in the aux tank, the Rotopax cans and came in with a little over a gallon left. It was a nail biter.

@@watercraftjournal Thank you! The most stress in riding for me is always fear of running out of gas, even with extra 15 gallons strapped on the back of my '21 GTX Limited with a SuperRack (which only gets me about 130 miles). The SeaDoo alarm going off every 5 minutes just adds to the fun.
