You should try to put a thin pice of sheetmetal a few Inches behind the first block to see if the Bullets have any power after going through the first one. I think in most of these test the flying pices of rock just hit the Second block and broke it, there is no speed left after the first one.

IDK if you have one but if not, maybe Paul can get his hands on something that fires .223 WSSM.?.? Not sure if you ever used that round on any videos but apparently it's super fast. I don't know anything about it but a buddy mentioned it. That would be a great test for the pavers and anything else. Knowing how many fun videos you've made you may have done it already. W_T_W.............
@WHOTEEWHO4 жыл бұрын
Never tried that one
@jesuslovesme91384 жыл бұрын
According to Browning, the .223 WSSM offers a 600 ft/s (180 m/s) gain with a 55 gr (3.6 g) bullet over the standard .223 Rem. It also offers a 440 ft/s (130 m/s) gain over the .22-250, a popular varmint round. This comes out to a 600 ft⋅lbf (810 J) gain over a standard .223 Rem, and a 350 ft⋅lbf (470 J) gain over the .22-250.[
@randlerichardson58264 жыл бұрын

450 ain't that a bit of overkill for deer hunting but what do I know when I was hunting I was rocking the 30-30.
@jamespugh4 жыл бұрын
Some place a 30-30 is not legal. Do to it being bottleneck. So 450 bushmaster be a true straightwall case find self be legal in those places. Same like of the 350 ledgen or .50 Beowulf.
@lucycarr60654 жыл бұрын
@@jamespugh What is the logic behind bottle necked cartridges being illegal for hunting?
@coupe50h4 жыл бұрын
@@lucycarr6065 I think, the logic is that a stray bullet won't travel as far using a straight wall cartridge. But don't quote me.
@philiporrell29364 жыл бұрын
@@coupe50h pretty definite that's the concept... Heavy fat round with a hollow point vs an aerodynamic slick bullet traveling at a much higher velocity. Initially people used shotgun slugs and .357 in a rifle until they made the 450 Bushmaster. Soon to follow was the 350 Legend
@Predalien1954 жыл бұрын
.450 has about as much power as a .45-70, which is still used widely for deer hunting as is considered ethical. As others have said, due to it being straight wall, from a legal standpoint in certain states is what makes it appealing.
@kurtwpg6 ай бұрын
Would like to see you do more science. Creative stuff other people may not have posted. What about a series where you're comparing the value of speed vs frontal area vs maybe also sectional density? Take a ,243, a 30-30, and a 350 Legend. All around 1900 FPE. Run them against paper plates, water jugs, pavers, frying pans, clay blocks, etc. See which does better against what.

Awesome video as always bro. BUT PLEASE for your SAFETY and for the safety others watching your videos, WILL YOU PLEASE start shooting these pavers or any other hard items that could come back and hit you from at least 25 - 50 yards. I had a friend of mine who almost lost an eye. We were shooting an old toilet and chunk of it flew back and hit him on the bridge of his nose and stuck in him. It hit with enough force that it actually broke his nose. He was a very lucky guy.
