The simplest things can make the biggest difference on complicated cars. This is one of them. We're going a step further on Monday and we're relocating the oil temp sensor so it gives a more accurate reading.

Shame they flattened it out over the years. I recall getting at least 3ft of air on my GSXR and KTM back in the day. Not so much these days sadly.

Phil reference fitting seats to the Yaris, have a look a the Apex Nürburgring or Robert Mitchell's channels (he owns them). They have a GR Yaris and have custom subframes to drop the seats down enough for wearing helmets. They also have a half cage installed.

@@driftworks The elevation changes, the tight turns, the small track width, it looks DIVINE! Only thing we have close to here in OZ is Go Kart tracks that occasionally let us use them, but even they dont have the elevation that this does. Absolutely Unreal! More vids please Phil, i could watch you drive this track ASMR style forever

The GR Yaris has got to be the successor of the pulsar GTI-R. Small Japanese commuter car but with AWD and a turbo so it’s a little rocket

For the Yaris - Wiechers seat base with recaro side mounts gets pole positions sat down low and nice in the car ;) Apex Nurburgring have done it and have many videos on the mods

As you guys do so many track days, what do you think about doing guides to the different tracks? How to drive them, racing lines, tricky or individual tips for each track kinda thing? Can use footage that you already have & would be mega useful for us starting to do track days (especially cadwell)

We do a few, but we're still very much amatuers still. Just there for fun, so wouldn't feel qualified to tell people where to go or how to etc. This was my second time ever at Cadwell for example, I know my line through the back section is far from optimal.

Damn, I have never seen a yaris handle like that. I assume it has the circuit pack with The JTEKT clutch pack + Torsen diffs. Evidently they work very well.

What was more impressive that’s only 7 psi low boost and only had 4th gear , lost the clutch ( hence run onto grass ) , i was doing the whole track in one gear !! So flexible .
