The winds were just right as they were traveling back to Mexico what an amazing and beautiful site that was. I could tell Ben was heartbroken seeing that starving dog and i was too :( (I wish all dogs had a good family to take care of them...) The monarque butterfly were so special to watch, i can't imagine how amazing it must have been in real! Thanks for the info, i knew they were special but i had no idea about them living only 6 weeks and 9 months for the 4th generation. So incredible!

The monarchs brought back childhood memories. In the 60's, my brother and I would ride our bikes to the lemon orchard near where we lived and the orchard was divided up with these long rows of eucalyptus trees. Well, when the monarchs would fly south through our area, they would stop in and just blanket the trees, it was awesome to see. We knew roughly the time of year they did this so we would keep checking till we saw them. So glad you got to see them there in Mexico. Now, have a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the holiday season. I will head to Az. in Jan. to meet up with my campervan friend from Colo., can't wait to get on the road again. Enjoy your time to yourselves. We live in the Niagara region of Ontario Canada. Every fall we enjoy the migration of the Monarchs and attract them to our gardens they often spend a day or two here to feed and rest before crossing Lake Erie and hope for calm weather. Weather depending they will rest on the US side in New York State, Peninsula and Ohio then head off across the US to Mexico over the generations. It really is a beautiful sight to see these amazing creatures hanging out in our area to repeat their ancestral journey. Seasons Greetings, enjoy your rest. The butterflies spread out all over the US as we see them here in the North West as well. The biggest reason most places don't see more of them is the flowers like milkweed etc that are their main source of food have either been wiped out or displaced by other invasive plants. I know I used to see a lot more when I was a kid then you ever do now. Their caterpillar form as need the stuff in the milkweeds to give them a bad taste that helps them and their butterflies forms from being from get eaten etc.

Hola! 👋 from New Mexico🌶️🌵....those back roads going up the mountain remind me of some of ours here in New Mexico when I first went up them I would sing songs to the Lord because if we went off them we would be goners and I felt at least I was singing praises to him when I met him. We have some real scary roads here.😮.....Where I grew up in Wisconsin we had the monarch butterflies and I know that they migrated but I didn't know it took four generations. That was a Wow to see all of them. I don't see them in this part of New Mexico but they go through part of Arizona. While you are going over all those bump road pick a time to get under the van and tighten us the screws and nuts and bolts. We almost lost our engine because of all the bumps on those types of roads years ago. We had good roads in Wisconsin. We didn't know those bolts and screws would get jard loose😢 oh the things we learned traveling. Years ago my friend and I would excape the Wisconsin winter and holiday in Jamaica. One day in Jamaica I was sitting next to this big bush with huge flowers HUGE flowers. It was a poinsettia. Boy was I surprised. Love the vlog. Merry Christmas to you. 🎵 Its snowing up in the mountains here❄️ now but nothing where I'm at. One snow fall is all I need. Angels all around you guys and your fur babies and your home on wheels💖🤗🙏

Just noticed the German You Tubers Sprintour are doing youre journey the other way round and have just shipped their crafter from Columbia to Panama. Bit tight getting in the container and a lot of dismantling bit succeeded. So your paths maybe crossing soon. They have a set of wooden smaller wheels they are looking to pass onto other Overlander’s which would fit yours as will be tight fitting yours in with the lift kit. Hope this is of use to you. Good morning both, So interesting to see your video on the Monarch butterfly. For many years we lived in the North of Tenerife and we used to cultivate the Milkweed plant for the butterflies to eat (in vast quantities) I believe they used to come down from Northern Europe so probably a distance of well over 2,500 miles. Have a good rest over Christmas and we look forward to your next videos.
