When you roll up your tarps and you have a fairly clean and dry parking lot surface do you sweep it off a bit to be sure there aren't any stones or such that could embed in the tarp and eventually cause holes in the tarp to appear? I always enjoy watching your videos. I am retired, 71 years old, and spent 15 years over the course of 22 years trucking thru all 48 states and British Columbia, through all 4 seasons, hauling household goods with Mayflower, and also hauled steel, farm equipment, general freight, and wholesale groceries. How refreshing to watch an organized professional. Good to see you now have a new CAT to truck with. I never realized a CAT could cost so much to rebuild. Smart choice.

Good to see you’re back on the road Dan sorry to see and hear about your engine problems but I’m sure you made the right choice in what you have done with the rebuild. I was a little concerned when you went to the truck wash, I can appreciate you wanted the engine and the bay cleaned up but I was thinking about the electrical problems you had a few weeks ago after an engine bay wash, I do hope you don’t get a repeat of that problem. Stay safe and keep well to the right, (over here in the UK we need to keep well to the left.) Best wishes from an old now retired trucker for almost 40 years.

Hello Mr. Dan, Little time ago I started to watch your videos which seem to me really interesting, so I was waching the video where the motor of your truck failed and the other one where you said the reparation cost but feel proud of yourself because you are a hard-working man and very positive, therefore I know you are going to recuperate your money back very soon, well let me share with you something important, long time ago I was truck driver but I was involved in an accident where I lost the movement of my limbs so I´m a disability person right now, I had wished only lost money but unfortunately it was not so, for that reason I believe that there are losses to losses, I hope these words help you and everyone to understand that while you have health there is plenty of time to recuperate whatever you want, greetings from Guanajuato Mex.

very organized trailer boxes Daniel we mainly use 2 inch straps first and last time i saw them 4 inch straps was cartin concrete blocks at 15 ton a piece from the yard to Cape Preston used for mooring weights for the tug boats and the blocks were standing on their edge cause it was too wide to lay down and was carting 2 on 2 trailers 40 ft flat top and 43 foot drop deck with bogie dolly in road train was also using chains too

Well, those boxes pay for themselves. Seen a lot of tarps on the side of the road this winter, mangled by what ran them over. Funny, seen one yesterday too, didn't check it. Lots of ratchet binders too, thanks for those people. It's amazing what people lose off their vehicle, not good when a trooper is behind you though. I think I got winded with those tarps too, haven't cheered you on lately.

Nice organization of the truck accessories. You seem to be taking the current expenditures in stride (engine overhaul, generator, so forth,) With nicer weather on the horizon, life should be a little less stressful, let's hope for stability in freight rates, presuming the government keeps their micromanaging fingers away from interstate commerce.

@@devtrash I don’t know what the workers get paid, if I had to guess I would say not much over minimum wage. These guys that I use in Bakersfield California area work their butts off. Working in that space all day and being wet all day I think a tip to show my appreciation is worth it. They always do a good job on my truck and trailer.
@johnhill32503 жыл бұрын
So as a small business owner I would think that you would have a plan in mind when the engine went down. Did you? How about the transmission? Have thought about replacing it when you want to instead of when it goes out? Just curious. Enjoy your videos. I got out of driving back in 02 .
@freedomfan42723 жыл бұрын
He said the transmission and rear end and the radiator is something that he mentioned in another video that he will probably have to get worked on sometime before too much longer because they've never been worked on and he bought that truck brand new in 2003.

Great video, Dan, I learn from you every time, that's for sure. A question which I can't find the answer in previous videos? Is the Dorsey trailer about 2000 pounds lighter than your steel previous traler? You recently weighed and if I recall correctly, you can routinely take up to 46,000 lbs? Have I got that correct? Be well and be safe and keep truckin'
@SuperTruckerdan3 жыл бұрын
