Mayflies are great bait for any species of sunfish. My girlfriend loves using them at the dock she grabs them off the dock polls and puts them on a wire hook we call them red ears in texas and we will fill a tube cricket cage full of them at night and the next day catch red ears or shell crackers as northern people say til we hit 40 and stop there is no shortage of sunfish and crappie love them as well. They freeze great as well as long as you vacuum seal them. Your boat is covered in the best sunfish crappie and sometimes catfish bait. You should be filling a ziplock bag with as many as you can.
